Tao Tea Leaf - Union Station

Lovely tea shop that does bubble tea! Prices were pretty good for the convenience of Union station as well. Excited that there's finally bubble tea in Union station, as the options in my area especially during the times the PATH is closed is not that great.Lots of really nice smelling tea there too, but only got bubble tea this time.

Forgot my loose leaf tea at home and went here hoping to buy a small amount to make a cup of tea. Unfortunately this location doesn’t sell tea by the gram. It would be great if they added that option.So instead I got a cup of the English breakfast tea, which I think was marked as premium. The tea was in a bag rather than fully loose leaf. I let it steep for 4 minutes before discarding the bag. The taste was very underwhelming. Perhaps the water wasn’t hot enough? This isn’t a criticism of this place in particular, but I find it basically impossible to get a good cup of tea unless I make it myself. Would love a place that let you pick your tea and specify how many grams you want and what steeping time.The cup of tea I had only deserves 1 or 2 stars. However, I’ve bought loose leaf tea from Tao Tea Leaf in the past and I know it’s decent quality stuff, so I’m giving 3 stars. My issue here was more with the preparation (and possibly the bagged tea?).

really nice. I like it taste not so sweet. Those I ordered from other bubble tea stores are toooo sweet.

Very nice experience, the place was very aesthetically pleasing, they had donuts you could taste. I didn’t like that the paper straw (which I hate btw) was hard to fit through the whole, it made it hard to get the tapioca. Also I was expecting the brown sugar milk tea to be sweet but it wasn’t, maybe there was an error on my end but the straw issue still remains. Great place though, excellent service.

I got the fruit sparkling tea today and for the price point I got to say it was very disappointing. It tasted like off the shelf syrup+ soda water + topping. The drinks itself reminded me of cough syrup. For$6-7 I was expecting to see some fruit slices. Or at least home made syrup

Good flavour, a great balance of sugar, not overly sweet like most bubble tea'sThe price is a little more, however, I feel the quality is reasonable for the priceVery friendly and helpful.

Love this place! The staff are super friendly and their matcha is way better quality than nearby coffee shops. You can tell by the more vibrant color.
