Jonathan Munz's work portrays landscapes that are reminiscent of the Group of Seven, but with his own unique Contemporary or Impressionist lens applied. So many stunning pieces; the Killarney Rock Trees" piece is my personal favourite. Definitely to worth popping by the Uptown Waterloo Gallery for a print

We all bring our own experience and dreams to the art that is created by others. When your visions intersect with those of the artist that is when the form truly reaches its zenith. Whenever I look at Munzy’s paintings I feel as if I am seeing the world that I love through his eyes. His trees and scenes live with me.I’m not in a position to be an art patron, so I must satisfy myself with the calendars. But every image, every single image in those calendars takes me to another world, a world I have visited and hope to visit again.

Munzy is our favourite local artist. Over the past couple holidays, I have bought my wife three original paintings, and about a dozen virtual prints for our new Art Frame TV. The art is incredibly distinct, unique, and beautiful. And it is always fun to interact with Laura and her brother. I hope to continue to, for many years!

This past year we worked to update our family room space. When it came time to selecting art we were not sure where to start! After learning about Jonathan Munz work we were in love with his style - we knew this room needed to include his work! We feel so lucky that we got to work with Laura in helping us determine piece(s) as well as size and scale. It was such an enjoyable experience - and I felt that she was just as excited as us to see the final look! Our expectations were far exceeded in purchasing and working with Paint By Munzy! Finally got into the gallery for my first visit! Hours are now regular following limited road construction hours. Bought a collection of beautiful art cards for the holidays and birthdays. Laura was super welcoming and a delight to chat with. Looking forward to my next visit.Jon is my favourite local artist. Gorgeous landscapes. I will be saving for a full-size original! The perfect place to check out if you’re looking to support Canadian art and buy local. Range of affordability as well

My experience with Laura Munz at the gallery has always been exceptional. She is professional and also very warm and welcoming. Laura is passionate about Jon's work and it is easy to see how proud she is of him. Jon's work is always admired in my home by friends and family and I recommend that they check out the gallery and online store for a variety of prints - I love his European series and his birch trees. Knowing Jon personally, I know how much love goes into his work. This is a great little shop with beautiful art in the accessible uptown Waterloo.

This is my fifth calendar: I still need to pick up this year’s. The art is a 10/10. All of these pictures can be framed and displayed. Considered a loss of one star because my students (g6) won an argument about Jan 16/ 2023. In the 2022 calendar (last page) as I wrote Jan 17, 2023 on the board they all said I was wrong and when I looked at my calendar source-January 16 2023 is missing. One point for the class! All good-they all love your art as well.
