Favorites Thai BBQ
This is my new favourite Thai place in Toronto - no pun intended. Nestled at the back of a coffee shop, Favorites puts a modern twist on Thai cuisine. I tried the calamari salad which was forgettable though still inventive with ingredients like calamansi. The sea bream and chicken curries were standouts, with the latter being one of the most flavourful curry dishes I've ever had! The broth was rich and delicious, and the chicken was moist and smoky, in a good way. Can't wait to try more dishes here!

Amazing food and I’m so glad that we decided to dine here! If you like Thai food, this is a must try spot and probably the best place I’ve tried in Toronto so far. It can be overpriced for the quantity however the food is worth it.Thai style oysters were fresh, tasted good and a great way to start the meal. Next up, I really loved the flavours of the Northern Thai Sausage however one cut up sausage for ~$16 seems very overpriced, I expected more quantity for this price. The beef tartare was decent but if I had to choose again I’d skip it since it’s nothing special compared to other amazing dishes.Finally, the best dish of the night was the Seabream Green Curry. Highly recommend this, it tastes so good, very well balanced and the fish was also cooked to perfection. Again, I was really impressed by this dish and would definitely return.Service was also very good as our server explained everything to us in detail and was helpful!

The place was tucked behind an alley bar. The food was okay/bland had really high expectations going here because of the hype. The best dish was the chicken wings. The dry rub was very flavourful. The pork was extremely overpriced for $43 dollars no sides. The steak was very mediocre. Lastly the desert needed more fingers inside it was mostly cream.

Best Thai BBQ I ever had! It’s like a combination of BBQ and traditional Thai food. Really tasty! The chicken curry really surprised me! Definitely will come again

I’ve been curious about this restaurant every time I passed by since it’s located at the back of a coffee shop. Tried the set menu for my first visit and I enjoyed all of dishes! Definitely a must try in Toronto, can be overpriced with the portion but food is packed with flavours. Great ambiance and service! Only thing that wasn’t a home run for me was the dessert Thai tea tiramisu but overall a lovely dinner experience!

This place is a hidden gem if you like thai food and look for a cozy atmosphere. We especially liked the skewers and the pad thai, but overall everything was quite tasty. We had the 6 pack Red Stripe which also was good company for the spicy food. Service was pretty fast too, highly recommended!

Been here on June 6 and I really had a great time! The tasting menu food portions were very filling and we couldn’t consume it all so we had some food to go. The oysters were fresh and perfect as an app. Our favorites were the ceviche and lamp chops. The table spaces were very close to each other so you may notice your neighbor checking out the food you ordered. I’d come back again another time for sure.

The restaurant is located in the back of the coffee shop which you have to walk through to find. The spot is an elongated minimalist space with several tables on the side and a more private room in the back (where we were luckily seated). There are nice dimly lit lights which makes the atmosphere more intimate. We got 7 dishes for 5 people. The food was excellent, some clear favorites being the Coconut Smoked Chicken Curry (we got two!), the Charcoal Grilled Lamb Chops and the Northern Thai Sausage. The staff was super friendly too. Overall, a lovely experience — would recommend if you're in the Ossington area and looking for upscale Thai eats.

Came here last night with friends. It’s a fun space and the service was great. We tried the spring rolls, chicken wings, oysters, ceviche, fried calamari salad, issan sausage and the smoked chicken curry. Apart from the spring rolls (which we found underwhelming), we thought everything was delicious and really unique. The ceviche and curry were the standouts of the meal for me personally. I would say portions are on the slightly smaller size compared to price. Would definitely recommend if you like Thai flavours but want to seem them done differently.
