Don't think there are many places where you can climb aboard one of those old but not that old small-medium ships. Oh, and make time for the trail in the back, it will put a smile on your face redescovering the kid in you.

We were not lucky enough to get in due to Easter Monday though we go around and took some pictures from outside. Still able to capture some beautiful memories on this sunny and beautiful day. So we didn't get the feeling of marine museum. Anyone making trip to this beautiful museum, make sure that you enter in and get the feeling of maritime.

Very nice forest hike. Come prepared the leaves are slippery. Medium difficulty.

Seriously a fantastic experience. We got lucky with the weather too (sunny a little cold may 22) so no mosquitoes as mentionned prior. We got a great welcome, the boats are a little old but still amazing to see.And the sailor adventure for the kids was a highlight along the stroll in the woods with the kids structures.Highly recommend! At this time of year at least!

I did not expect this to be one of my highlights in Charlevoix. We came on a rainy day to pass the time with our child. First off, it seemed almost too cheap when they told us the price, surprising these days. We walked around, saw the short video, went on some boats and had a very nice time. But then we also walked the grounds in the back, a really nice extra. There are activities for children as you walk and you wind through the forest and high grass fields which was great even in the rain. The main issue is that the mosquitoes are ferocious. Bring mosquito repellant, which we did and still got a lot of bites, nevertheless we did really enjoy it.

Very interesting! You get to learn about the history of the region and a handful of ships that used to sail the gulf. The museum is complete with a photo gallery, various artifacts and even ships you can visite! For families with young children, the museum offers a kind of enigma hunt.

Great place to kids and family. Lots of things to see. The experience of entering the sailboats and seeing the real way how these sailboats were made is fun. One of the boats have a movie theater with a history of how things were built.

Fun for all ages, explore the museum first and learn how shops were constructed as well as stored during the summer months, even the life of a sailor is explored. Next, step right aboard ship to explore the cabins, gullies and even the captain's quarters. One of the boats even includes a multimedia presentation, every 4th presentation in English. Many exhibits also have translation but not all. There is an awesome gift shop and general store as well as great little trek exploring the forest, with kid friendly play areas and a real garden maze! The routes are quite organized and easy to follow, you can also get a free map at the front gate!
