I had Dr Matsumoto perform a REZUM procedure on me to alleviate my BPH. The results were extraordinary. My BPH is completely gone with no side effects. I cannot be happier. Dr Matsumoto is extremely skillful, compassionate and responsive to any questions/concerns I had pre and post care. I would highly recommend him as your urologist if you are considering having a REZUM procedure.

I have been ‘watchful waiting’ for high PSA and enlarged prostate for a number of years. Recently my issue developed to urinary retention which resulted in a indwelling catheter, in place for 4 months. Following a consultation with Dr. Matsumoto, we agreed I was a good candidate for the Rezum procedure. I had also done my personal review of options prior to proceeding.Dr. Matsumoto was excellent as he guided me through the procedure and what to expect. He also was very supportive after with regular communications and guidance. The catheter remained in place for 4 weeks after the procedure, but following that, I have now been catheter free for 3 weeks, a great change. Urinary urgency remains an issue but this can be expected from any of the BPH treatments. Definitely recommend.

It has been over a year since my REZUM!!Was camping with my wife Sept. 7th 2021.Sept.8th 2021 was in ER in Tillsonburg Ont. catheter went in.Saw Dr. Matsumoto October 2021,  most optionsdid not seem like anything I wanted.  Then Doc. told me about REZUM!!  This was something I was very interestedin.Had the REZUM Jan.2022  Catheter came out Feb. 2022(YA!!!)It is now March 2023, no meds. just flow.Everything works!!(everything)Through all of this I had Dr. Matsumoto 's cell # anything that came up there was a quick reassuring response!!You & your staff made feel like a new friend,  hugs for  all of you!!All I can say is You Rock Doc!!!

My BPH issues started at 53 years old- very healthy and active- non-smoker, 6;); 200lbs- working out 4-6 times a week. No warnings, I had a full urinary retention in March 2021 that landed me at the Hospital (emergency) followed by 2 more the same month and another one in July 2021- full retention every time with a catheter and a bag...... In a COVID world, my TURP" surgery was postponed and cancelled 4 times. I did some research to go "private" and REZUM was the best option. Dr. Matsumoto deserved 11 stars on 10. I drove 6 hours to Hamilton for this!! He is highly competent

Had Rezum procedure done here. and everyone was magnificent in doing their jobs. From start to finish, was a breeze. Am very happy that went ahead with the procedure, as results were better than I expected. Thumbs up to Dr Matsumoto and staff.

Early May of 2022, I experienced a total urine flow blockage.A catheter was inserted at St. Joe’s emergency Hamilton Ontario. I went to Dr. E. Matsumoto for further examination. A cystoscopy was performed and revealed that my enlarged prostate (BPH) was the cause of the urine flow blockage.Dr. E. Matsumoto recommended that I need a procedure to resolve my blockage. He explained that the gold standard that OHIP covers is the TURP procedure. With the TURP procedure I will need a couple of days in hospital for recovery. He also suggested water vapor therapy called “Rezum”. Dr. E. Matsumoto explained that this procedure is less invasive with less possible side effects however it is not covered by OHIP. After doing some of my online research I chose the “Rezum” procedure.On Aug 16th, 2022, Dr. E. Matsumoto performed the “Rezum” procedure at his Dynamiq Urology clinic in Hamilton Ontario.Dr. E. Matsumoto and his staff were very professional and competent in performing this procedure.The recovery with no Hospital stay was very important to me, especially during Covid-19 times.I am very happy with the results of this procedure; my urine flow has increased significantly.

Thirteen months ago, I underwent the Rezum prostate procedure for BPH with Dr. Matsumoto and I am very pleased with the results.I had been suffering from typical urinary symptoms due to an enlarged prostate for several years. Frequent urination, repeated nighttime trips to the bathroom and never really emptying my bladder, sometimes causing leakage. Its amazing how poor urination can greatly impact the quality of your daily life.I used Flomax medication with limited success. It did help with flow but it also caused nasal congestion which resulted in increased snoring and poor sleep. Often the poor breathing would wake me up.After researching different treatment options and following the recommendation of my brother-in-law who had previously had Rezum with Dr. Matsumoto, I decided to give Rezum a try, and I'm very glad I did.First and foremost, the Rezum procedure itself was relatively quick and minimally invasive. It uses steam to treat the excess prostate tissue causing urinary symptoms. The procedure was performed in a private clinic, which meant no hospital stay was required. I was in and out in under two hours.One of the things I was most impressed with was the effectiveness of the Rezum treatment. Within a few weeks, I noticed a significant improvement in my urinary symptoms. Frequency and urgency were noticeably reduced, and I was able to empty my bladder more completely, which resulted in fewer, if any trips to the bathroom during the night. It was a noticeable change that greatly improved my quality of sleep and life.The recovery process was relatively smooth as well. Again, there was no hospital stay which was important to me. I experienced minimal discomfort after the procedure and that was due to the catheter you have for one week. I was able to resume my regular activities within a few days. Compared to other surgical options, such as traditional prostate surgery, the recovery time was significantly shorter, which was a huge plus for me. My pre-procedure symptoms have disappeared. I sleep throughout the night and my urination frequently during the day is significantly down.Additionally, I must commend the professionalism and expertise of the medical staff involved in my Rezum procedure. Dr. Matsumoto is one of the most personable and professional doctors I’ve ever met. He took the time to explain the procedure, answered all my questions, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. Communication before the procedure assured me that I was making the right decision. After the procedure I could easily contact Dr. Matsumoto if I had any concerns. Follow up appointments have confirmed I made the right decision.I highly recommend both the Rezum procedure and Dr. Matsumoto.

Wonderful results from Rezume procedure performed by DR Edward Matusmoto, Dynamiq Urology. Following a few days of discomfort after the procedure the results were quite good with great follow-up from Dr Matsumoto to be sure I understood the short healing process and to allay any concerns that I might have. Very satisfied with the entire experience with DR Matsumoto's approaches, information on what to expect and particularly the improvement in my ongoing urinary health.

Upon living with BPH for a few years I approached Dr. Matsumoto about the new Rezum procedure. He firmly confirmed its positive outcome and at my request developed an action plan leading to the procedure complete with a pre and post operative medication. The surgery was so well organized with all team members interacting well and reassuring that made me feel very comfortable. I did not feel any pain during or after surgery. Before the end of the day, Dr. Matsumoto contacted me to ensure I was comfortable and all was well. My recovery was uneventful and now, one year after surgery all participating functions are back to before BPH and that is much better than I expected. My PSA is down, I don't get up to use the washroom at all at night, follow up tests show that I empty the bladder very well and more.Dr. Matsumoto is well respected by his peers and patients, he is compassionate and thorough as well as a very experienced urologist and I highly recommend Dynamiq Urology to anyone with BPH problems.

I have BPH and was experiencing extreme difficulty when voiding. After trying the prescribed medications for months, the problem continued.I heard about RESUME therapy and ask my Urologist for a referral. She suggested Dr Matsumoto. After meeting with him I strongly believed this was the way to go NOT TURP.The actual procedure was relatively straight forward with some after surgery issues that Dr Matsumoto assured me would pass. Well they did and now I’m able to void again! What a relief! No complications for me from the RESUME procedure as is the case in other types of surgery.All throughout this process, Dr Matsumoto was extremely supportive and responsive to my questions. Not only is he a brilliant surgeon, but is very professional, sympathetic and really knows his stuff.I would highly recommend Dr Matsumoto for anyone experiencing BPH voiding problems.
