Royal Jade Restaurant
First time trying Hakka cuisine and enjoyed the experience! The staff were very friendly and attentive. Wish I remember what it's called but the deep fried veggie shrimp balls (?) were very tasty! Love the green sauce it was served with. The stir fry beef was too sweet for my liking but it's common for Chinese fusion in North America anyway so that's understandable. Recommended if you haven't tried Indian Chinese food!

Food was just awful. Their chicken lollipop had no taste. Their food was bland and serving was small. Ordering the same amount of food from a place called Hakka Passion would cost us around $60. Here a $60 meal costed us $100 with bland taste and small serving.Save ur money and go somewhere else. The ratings on this is surprising and definitely by all relatives. No way is this place a good dine in place.

I have eaten at this place at least 4 times and they always disappoint. As with most chinese restaurants the food always comes in a pool of sauce that spills out of your container and soaks through the paper bag. I find the flavours very bland and I don't particularly like the specific grain of rice they use. I don't want to totally trash talk the place. The staff and management are very nice and their prices are good too. I think there are better places to eat within walking distance.

Went there for dinner on Saturday since we were in the mood for halal Thai . We had chicken pad Thai, green curry beef and eggplant. The eggplant was a bit too sweet but delicious. Also enjoyed the green curry and pad Thai. Food was really good. Will come back again. They also have Chinese cuisine. Nice to have good halal Thai and Chinese options in this area. Staff is very friendly too.

This is a response to the Google review below of Mr. Lovepreet Sandhu:We were there when you and your wife caused a small scene at this small restaurant to gave them a lecture about the difference between Manchurian and Szechuan. The owner agreed to change your order because apparently there was a miscommunication with your order but your wife chose to just leave. You then caused another scene with the other owner telling him he’s either “inexperienced or his business is new” cos he cannot tell the difference between the sauce or flavor that you ordered.I understood where your frustration was coming from. The chinese owner argued with you regarding a chinese dish when you, a non-chinese customer, just won’t get the reason why your order tastes different . What you didn’t understand is that every dish, while they may come from the same culture, can still be cooked differently depending on the restaurant.The food here is great. We enjoyed what we ordered and I can say the taste stands out from most restaurants that serve the same dishes.Disclaimer: I’m not in any way related to the restaurant owners. This was our first time eating here. What stood out from our experience was this scene caused by one customer. We don’t like seeing small business owners getting bullied by negative google reviews. We don’t know the story behind every one-star reviews but for this one, I can attest that the restaurant did nothing wrong.

Placed an order through Uber Eats and the delivery person only delivered part of our order. It was difficult to communicate with him due to a language barrier, so we called the restaurant directly, and they confirmed only one of the two bags of our order was picked up. They took immediate action to rectify the issue and offered to personally deliver the rest of the order to us. They did so in a timely fashion (don't believe this offer would be made by many businesses). We offered the individual a tip, and he refused

Had the Singapore Curry Fried Rice and Beef with Mixed Veggies. Fried rice was great, but the house garlic chili sauce was insanely good!

The lunch special i paid $3 extra for fried rice and got the smallest portion ever. On top of that the chicken 65 was not dry as it should be. The chilli chicken wings is amazing though!

Food was delicious. Good balance of flavors, generous portion size and reasonable price. But even if the food wasn’t great I’d still give 5 star for the service. The gentleman who took my order , I believe his name is Chris was so nice that just for that I would recommend this place. Usually it’s very unusual to get good service from Chinese restaurants, but this restaurant is truly an excetion.
