About the Business
Credit River Parks Strategy – City of Mississauga | The Credit River Parks Strategy (CRPS) was approved by Council in 2013. The CRPS sets out a 25-year strategy that focuses on conservation, management, and growth of parks and natural areas along the Credit River. More than 35,000 stakeholders were engaged in the development of the CRPS. Through the engagement, we heard residents, community groups, external agencies, and City staff say they want to be able to connect with and have access to this area for a number of recreational uses including cycling, walking, hiking, canoeing, and kayaking. The strategy recommends a number of actions including a continuous trail from Port Credit to Mississauga’s northern border, new bridges, and trails to connect neighbourhoods and provide links to transit hubs, educational institutions, and cultural experiences. It also recommends habitat restoration and new opportunities to further enhance water activities such as fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. The CRPS has received the CSLA Regional Award and has been nominated for The Credits, Natural Heritage Award. These honours have reinforced the strength of the vision identified in the Master Plan. The Credit River is important to the City’s “green” infrastructure. The new strategy will ensure that it is preserved and enhanced for all to enjoy today and in the future.

Credit Meadows Park
Scenic river side park near Britannia road. Very limited parking space approximately 10 cars. Watch out for bugs during summer season. Overall it’s beautiful almond credit river banks. Perfect for hiking and pet walk.

Credit Meadows Park
Nice little walk if you want to stretch your legs after some traffic or take some more time to follow the trails.

Credit Meadows Park
A small greenspace with a couple picnic benches that are well shaded. Two trails; the south one leads to the bank of the credit and is good for fishing, the other on the north end of the park leads through the local forest. Parking is a small gravel lot. Porta potty for a bathroom.

A little wet this time of year. Even the maintained pathway is under water in many areas. Would be nice to improve drainage. Credit river is very high and fast moving now. Still a good walk with the dogs. Saw ducks, geese, wild turkeys and deer in the woods on this short walk. A few geo caches in the area too if that's your thing.

I love this place for its natural beauty.. great place for a quick hike along the credit river in early spring! Never too crowded.. leads to a decent sized meadow!

Credit Meadows Park
Used to be well-maintained during summer but in fall there is litter almost everywhere and most of the trail is not accessible but still some pretty interesting and beautiful views of the trees and the small river flowing through the park. There is a small parking lot.

From the roadside it has the best views and almost pushes you to go and venture in. It was fall time when I succeeded to make it there due to its great attraction. The entrance was exotic but the trail didn't give the same sense. It was total beauty however..

Beautiful.. Only marred by litter. It's sad to see carelessness and selfishness. Let's be mindful to care for our beautiful nature, friends!
