My friend made a purchase at this location and was waiting outside of the store while he waited for a cab. Shortly after waiting outside the person who sold him his liquor told him to leave. My friend is in a wheelchair and is indigenous. To treat a paying customer this way is unacceptable, especially someone in a wheelchair. The owner should be shocked that an employee is treating customers this way. I don't know if this establishment usually asks paying customers to leave the area while waiting for a taxi but it feels to me like he was being singled out because of his disability or his ethnicity.If you care about people with disabilities or discrimination against indigenous people then I highly suggest you take your business elsewhere.

They deserve more than just stars, I am so impressed by the attendees there. So helpful and full of energy.I don't drink, but still have been there 10s of time. Cheapest liquor in area.Thanks for serving the right way.

Very friendly staff. Prices are great & well stocked.

Prices are good, in some cases better than the provincial liquor store. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have occasional wine, beer and liquor tastings at the store, and the purveyors are very professional and knowledgeable about their products.

I was invited by the management of Characters Abbotsford to attend a job interview.The gentleman who 'conducted' the interview started off immediately trying to talk me out of attempting to secure the job. He questioned whether I 'understood' that this was a cashiers position. He then attempted to make the job appear absolutely impossible for me to handle. Including asking if I had previous interactions with people from various racial backgrounds. A ludicrous question considering he had a copy of my resume. This gentleman has a demeaning, superior attitude and worked there as a cashier.My personal opinion is to avoid this particular location.

I have to say, I have been a customer for a bit here and the service is always so so. Well what happened to my buddy was brutal. They charged him for the customers that were already being served but still were looking for more alcohol. The staff didn't clear the original sale. He noticed that 80 plus bucks was a bit much for 2 bottles of 12 dollar wine later that evening. Went to the store the next day and the owner told him to talk to the manager. The manager said talk to the accountant and the accountant said to talk to the owner. A slight bit of a run around. In the end they did nothing and told him he was out the money. The manager (who was the actual salesperson, I was there), made a mistake as did my friend by not checking the invoice. Some sort of validation, with out the blatant run around, would have been nice.Not a fair place to deal with.
