Went and sat at the bar on a Sunday afternoon. We did not have a reservation, so if you want to sit at a table then I would recommend you make one. The bar also filled up quickly. My sister and I ordered drinks, I enjoyed the Empress gin and tonic (it’s purple!), and we thought the jerk chicken tacos and bake and shrimp were delicious! The bake and shrimp was pretty spicy, but it had excellent/unique flavors.Bar tenders and servers were friendly.

Took my wife on a date here. She was talking about this place she saw on Instagram for weeks now. The food did not disappoint. She kept saying, this is back home food!" Which she doesn't say often when we go out for Caribbean food. Music was nice

I can’t begin to explain how satisfied I am with my experience. I got the opportunity to continue my birthday celebrations by dining in today with my friend. From the warm welcome and customer service by staff and Ross, the owner to the great atmosphere and location. I really love how Ross makes the time to interact with his customers. This says a lot for me.We had the bake and shark which transported me back home to Maracas beach, the macaronie pie bites and callaloo (which is a staple for Sunday lunch in Trinidad) and the Chadon Beni Buffalo wings which were all delicious. You get a really good portion size for the value. The drinks had - maracas mule and watermelon mojito were also quite refreshing. I would definitely be back soon for my doubles and to try the other items on the menu.Thank you Ross and your staff for a wonderful experience home away from home. Continued success to you!!

Dined here on Jan 26, 2023. All of the plates were delicious. Drinks!? Broke the scale. Temperature, taste, presentation, service. All top notch. Steph our server was really attentive and got to meet Ross the owner who was super accommodating. Will definitely be back!

A taste of Trinidad. Went with my buddy as we were eyeing making a visit for some time. Managed to get here today and it was definitely worth the visit. Friendly staff, nice selection of soca, great drinks and food, what more could you ask for?We started with ordering a rum punch pitcher. We ordered two order of bake an shark, an order of the Chadon Beni Buffalo wings and the venison sliders. The rum punch hit the spot. The flavours had a distinctive memory of backhome and the food, well as a Trini I can say “it lash”. The venison was cooked well and was flavourful. The wings had the right spice and heat. The bake and shark was a beautifully served dish.We were treated to meeting the owner and were able to speak about our times growing up in Trinidad. This was a true treat because me and my buddy are both Trinis and we heard that distinctively wonderful Trini accent and were reminded of back home. He recommended us to the Maracus Mule and we ordered one of those and the Nylon pool. Both drinks hit the spot.Thank you to the wonderful staff at Chadon Beni. Definitely will be back and look forward to coming in the summer.

The only downfall to this place was that it is really small, feels like it could only seat 30 people, food perfect, service on point. Decor cozy, cocktails well thought out. Traditional north american concepts with a Carribean spin.

First off this place is a vibe, being a trini I approve of this place. This place makes me feel like home and makes me happy to know and love our culture. I also seen kes the band was here so I was excited. My friend and I were here for. Concert and came here looking for a nice chill place for dinner. We ended up sitting at the bar and we got rum punch, the conch fritters and bake and shark sliders. The rum punch was good it was sweet and not over powering and was good to sip and vibe with the food. The conch fritters were delicious as well, filled with trini seasonings and served with tamarind sauce and mango chutney was perfect, they came piping hot out the kitchen. The bake and sharks were also really good with the yummy seasoning and sauce and yummy fried shark. I put some of the Josie pepper sauce and that hit the spot as well. I was told the sauce was made in house and it definitely did deliver and give a wonderful flavorful kick. And you know food is good when you don’t need to eat a ton to be satisfied.I love what the owner and staff do for the place and also how they play soca music. I will be back and recommend people to come here for a modern trini flare.

Enjoyed the food (and hot sauce). Definitely sit on the patio if it’s a nice day!We ordered the conch fritter, crab dumplings and jerk chicken tacos. Really enjoyed the conch fritters and would definitely get it again! Would recommend trying the crab dumplings if you haven’t had it before. And 10000% ask for the hot sauce - adds a delicious kick to the meal. The indoor seating felt a bit small, but loved the music. The outdoor patio looked amazing and would definitely sit there next time.
