UPDATE: While the VPI Hamilton staff are really nice, the organization itself I'm no longer so keen. Interactions with HR are really jaded and lackluster. It took me 3 weeks to even get a response despite proactive attempts to reach out to them. The staff at Hamilton branch are wonderful but it is readily apparent that a high turn around occurs. My case worker/ Job Coach left and was replaced by someone after my intake interview.I'm deeply impressed with the quality of care and degree of support I received. They were very professional and highly efficient in getting back to me and scheduling a meeting time. They were very thorough in explaining how they will help me find meaningful employment. Lillian and Laura were able to take the time to listen to exactly what i am searching for and then what's more help me look into new avenues in career i was not aware of. It's invigorating to work with the staff at vpi and i look forward to more interaction with them. Parking is limited but accessible to the highway, the main fish is busy so finding the vpi location can be easily missed. They offer a full array of employment services and offer onsite seminars and online courses.

I attended the resume & cover letter workshops on Oct 15 2019; I found the programs very helpful as there were many pointers I didn't think about while working on my resume & cover letter. I enjoyed both sessions thoroughly; Lidia is not only professional and highly knowledgeable, she is also a very articulate and engaging. I liked best the moments where she used metaphors to bring across the point; for an afternoon brain like myself this is extremely helpful because she didn't sound dry rather interesting, this prevented me from falling asleep and missing important information. Great job done by Lidia and many thanks to VPI for providing this program as it's very effective. Thank you :-)

Last summer, Lidia came to our classroom to give our group a class presentation on resume writing at the International Beauty Institute in Hamilton. I remembered Lidia because in the class, she was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. She answered all of our questions and made everyone feel at ease. This is the reason I came to VPI Working Solutions today. She sat down with me and really helped me write my resume. Thank you Lidia for all of your help. I feel ready to find a great job in the medical aesthetics field. I wish there were more stars because she's provided me with exceptional service. I would very highly recommend her services, from any classes she teaches to any support Lidia can provide.

I attended the Customer Service workshop yesterday. It was awesome! It helped me learn some things and it was worth going. The Customer service class has been my favourite so far. The best part was the DISC information we learned and how it relates to customers. The day went by really quickly. When you are learning new things and having a good time, it goes by really fast. I also attended the job interviews workshop and it was also really good. I would definitely recommend VPI to others.

I know it has been a while but I do recall the workshops I attended at VPI were great confidence builders. They allowed those sharing the same type of joblessness experience to speak amongst ourselves and feel comfortable. At the same time preparing us for with proper interview skills, assessments on skills we possess/ improve those skills, kept our eyes open for going into different careers opportunities we may not have thought of and so much more!My favourite workshop was Customer Service Excellence.It allowed me to realize that Customer Service was exactly where I wanted to be.I can honestly say Lidia who ran the majority of the workshops was amazing! She provided so much information insight and was honest to us when you asked her questions, critiqued us with mock interviews, helped us improve by making ourselves more marketable to employers. I was able to set my LinkedIn account properly with her help!Thank you Lidia!!!

I attended the Job Interviews workshop conducted by Lidia Siino on Thursday August 30 at VPI Upper James. She provided booklets and had overhead slides which were both very easy to follow. The content was topical, helpful and reassuring. It also helped to have other job seekers in the workshop. I felt very comfortable learning with Lidia and her ability to make everyone feel at ease. We had a larger group with every age and every type of job seeker present. I wish the session was longer because there was so much in depth information. I would very highly recommend this workshop to everyone. The other participants were talking about attending other workshops at VPI Hamilton because the content and facilitation was very, very good. I was more than pleasantly surprised by the content and the professional, open and easy learning environment. Lidia makes job search fun. Maybe that's what put us all at ease.

5 when I started working with them pre-pandemic... 1-2 as of late.They used to be spectacular, a great place with good connections to businesses, amazing workshops and programs to help develop skills and attentive brilliant councilors for helping you with your job search.I reached out to them late 2021 for help finding a position, getting what I was told would be a video call a week later, only to be called on the phone normally. They essentially offered me links to the public job board and a slew of online workshops which were helpful but nothing I wasn't already aware of.A few weeks after starting to talk with them, I found employment on my own through outside connections, what followed was them insisting to take credit for it, fully document the details of such, and call me weekly despite my insistence against it asking for details, and wanting to check in so they can 'send me a gift card'. After a few weeks I told them that I lost the position and did not want help or to be further contacted by them.This gave me a month's respite before it drummed back up. Now the calls were bi-weekly, each time from someone new who got my file... each one unaware of my having lost the position despite me telling the last one of the situation.Not sure what their deal is nowadays, but Mohawk's job services or the YMCA may be better for you if you don't want to be harassed for some time after the fact.

They helped me to create a Resume. They also provided me with work skills. Maple Leaf Foods had a hiring event.

I have to say VPI has a great team. The workshops that I have attended (occupational research, networking and Linkedin), held by Lidia were awesome. Lidia is very knowledgeable and does a great job presenting them. Charlotte has been great with getting me focused with my Job search and has been very instrumental with helping with my self-employment venture. I will always be in touch with VPI and will keep this company in my back pocket going forward. Thank you for all your support.

I am an Instructor at the International Beauty Institute (Hamilton Campus) and it was such a pleasure to have my class participate in VPI's Cover Letter & Resume Building Workshops. These workshops really assisted my students in creating/updating their resumes and cover letters as they are required to complete for a class assignment. Lidia was absolutely amazing and made the day fun and interactive for us! Answered any questions we had, and the booklets were extremely helpful and a wonderful treat to keep and explore. The workshops allowed them to have much insight on how to structure, customize, and word their papers, which has showed when marking their assignments as they are more elevated and professional. I highly recommend joining in on their business workshops as it was not only a delightful and positive experience, but also very informative and useful. I will definitely be booking future workshops for my upcoming classes. Thank you very much Lidia And VPI!
