Budget Truck Rental

Great price, awful customer service. They gave me a Chevy Spark saying it was comparable to a Hyundai Elantra. When I said i wasn’t made aware of this on Budget website, she said sorry but they are a franchise and had nothing to do with the Budget website. I thought a franchise was supposed to be in overseen by its franchisee… never renting anything from Budget again!

I have never had a better experience with any other rental company. I first went to Budget Regent when my car was broken into and I was desperate for a vehicle (being a mom who was working in Selkirk at the time and having a 7 year old son who plays hockey I needed something and I needed it fast) to get to work while mine was with MPI. Lauren went above and beyond to accommodate me while I was dealing with the stress of dealing with my vehicle. She made everything easy, and quick while being comforting and kind. I live at the other end of the city and continue to make the trip to rent vehicles when I need specifically to deal with Lauren and the Budget Regent Team because of how well I was treated. Thank you for everything!!

Horrible! Beware gas tank not full when I received the car. Booked a car 3 weeks in advance was to receive compact car similar to Ford Focus. What i received was a huge beast of a Jeep. Injured my back trying to get into the vehicle. On 3 occasion called to see if they had something smaller.To no avail. Why could they not have a car like they said I would receive? Never again enterprise just down the road is far superior. If I could give a 0 star I would.

We loved the price (much cheaper than renting from the airport), yet we did have a few disappointments.1) We were quite shocked that such a modern model did not come with cruise control.2) Once we were out of province, we began having trouble with the wipers. We phoned and left a message, but never got a call back. Luckily the problem resolved itself.3) We arranged to bring the car back the morning of Dec 31. Nothing was said about them being closed or opening late nor was there a sign on the door telling us their plans for the day. We simply had to leave the key and trust that they will see no damage on the vehicle and a full tank of gas.We will try a location closer to the airport next time.

absolutely terrible customer service!! no compassion. as i was filling up a damage report, the lady (lauren) shoved the debit machine at me to get the payment. didnt even wait until i was done with the report. she said that the vehicle needed to be fixed asap.seems like they value more the money than the customers experience. very unprofessional.definitely would not recommend to anyone.

Staff very accommodating. I had to extend my rental well over the agreed time and they did so quickly and easily. Vehicle was clean, for the most part, and ran smoothly.

The best choice and location for renting a car in Winnipeg. Staff are professional and friendly, they have excellent services. They always with smiling faces. I rented cars very often during summer months two years ago, and had very good experience every time. And recommended to friends. I rented cars around/over 15 times, never had additional charge. The price is good. The staff are honest, be trustful. Highly recommend here.

I called earlier this morning to get some information on a car rental, The person i talked to was super helpful and amazingly awesome. I think her name was lori or Lauren i didn't catch it. Traveling has always been tough for me but with service like this it has become alot easier. Thank you so much to who i spoke with

My rental was only OK. The customer service was great that I received from Justin at the desk when I picked up the car. However, I picked up the car on Friday morning and it was overcast outside. When we drove away and the sun came out I noticed the car was quite dirty. Bug guts on the front and dirt all over the vehicle. We had a wedding to attend (the reason why I came to Winnipeg) and I had to take the car and get it washed before I could attend as the car was being used to carry people from the wedding party. The door jams were full of dust and dirt and all had to be wiped down. The interior otherwise was tidy. Just too bad someone didn’t clean the car properly on the exterior. When I dropped it off I dropped it off after hours and used the key drop box. I called the next day and explained my concern hoping for a small resolution. Justin spoke with a manager and the manager said “because I didn’t note the concern when I picked it up, there is nothing they could do for me”. This is just poor customer service. A simple phone call back with an apology from a manager would have been better than nothing at all. And I had to call and follow up, not the other way around. Attached are photo’s of when I picked it up, and photos of when I dropped it off. It should have looked the way it did when I dropped it off when I picked it up.

If I could give this location more then 5 stars I would. The young girl working the counter was the sweetest, young lady ever!! Left enterprise angry and full of rage right before I walked into budget and my mood changed 100% with my experience with them. Got an amazing car and for a great rate, with no BS run around like enterprise was giving me. Will definitely use budget again in the future and definitely this location.
