Dave's Floor Sanding & Installing

Dave's crew did a fabulous job sanding and refinishing our wood floors which we thought were beyond repair. Each of the team members we interacted with were courteous and professional. I was also very impressed by crew members calling each morning to confirm they were on the way, and finishing up the job on a Saturday due to being snowed-out earlier in the week.

Dave's Floor Sanding came out and did about 500sqft of refinishing. They gave a good breakdown of what kind of mess it would leave, and when it would be usable. I think they did a good job, made good recommendations, and communicated well.

They were excellent to work with & Nick did a unbelievable job on the install of hickory harwood floors on our remodel. I highly recommend them!!

I’ve used this company for the 2nd time now. The all around experience was incredible. Chad was very professional, knowledgeable, and very responsive. The install team did a great job as well!

This was our first time using Dave's Floor Sanding and we will not be hiring them again. While they did get the job done, they were extremely unprofessional. Among many other things, the guys that showed up to work on the floors not only asked us about our income, but they left candy wrappers laying all over the floor and used our toilet and then left it for us to flush after they were gone. Our floor installer had his political podcasts playing really loud on his phone without any headphones, which was really distracting for me trying to work from home. It was pretty reasonably priced, so I guess we got what we paid for. But if we could go back, we would have absolutely been willing to pay more in order to get good, professional service.

Love these guys. Fair pricing, super nice staff, always ends up looking great. We used them at our old house on an old 75 year old floor. They made it look like new again. We used them on our current house to sand our painted stairs and they crushed it. I was dubious the stairs could be fixed. Sales guy was awesome. Showed up same day. Nice guy. They scheduled me within a week. The first guy (sander) showed up happy and ready to go. He worked all day and made them look like new again. Then a few more people came out the next few days to seal it up. Everyone was super nice. Prompt. Responsive. Great communication. Clean. Fast. Awesome job. (I work in people's houses too every day in another field so I notice these things)

We reached out to Dave’s last year to get a quote to refinish the whole first floor. This quote allowed me time to save up and reach out this year. There are been multiple “changes in approach” and Dave’s has been nothing short of patient, understanding and willing to shift direction. My husband and I are finally on the same page and I am thankful Dave’s was able to hang I there with us! Put Dave’s at the top of your list!

I was really impressed with how professional and quickly our carpet was installed. The workers did a fantastic job . I will most definitely refer Dave’s Flooring to my family and friends!!! Thanks again for a wonderful job!!! We love it!!! Can’t wait to do the other floors.

We had Daves Flooring refinish our Brazilian Cherry floor in our home with a Buff and Coat process and we could not be any happier with the results!!The 2 person crew of Chuck and Stephanie arrived on time and in very short order were finished with the job!!When they were about half way through the sanding process we asked Chuck what he thought our floor will look like when they are finished - (because when someone is sanding your floor" - you might just wonder if you are doing the right thing in your home!!) and Chuck and Stephanie assured us that it would look great when they were done and they were right!!After 22 years our flooring showed many signs of wear

This is the second time I used them and the first experience was great. This time it was terrible both in the finished product and Justin’s customer service skills. First, the floor had tons of areas with bumps that looked like bubbles to us after they completed their final coat. They were supposed to send a person out to look at it, then that person was delayed so they just felt they needed to buff and put one more coat on and the person coming out the next day would be able to ensure it was the right fix.The person showed up, said it was due to the process of spraying water and alcohol on n it so it takes the stain prior to staining, then the sanding process after that didn’t remove all the fibers that were raised and made the floor rough. Ok, I thought, he must know what he’s talking about and they buffed and put another coat on it.Today, after the coat is dry I go and take a look at the sports that were the worst, now I can see the circular buffing marks and the bubble look is still there…it’s smooth, but you still can see the same issue I originally was not happy with where it looks like there are bubbles in the finish. In addition, now there are random hard bumps in the finish in random places…in some places it looks like there are hairs in the finish.When Dave’s called to see how it turned out I explained what I was seeing and was transferred to Justin who proceeded to tell me that it is not his problem that I wasn’t aware that I should expect water popping and that my expectations were too high. He will send out and “independent” flooring inspection person for $700 that I would have to pay for it the floor meets industry standards…which who knows what “industry standards” are. I simply wanted a smooth floor that didn’t show sanding marks and bubbles in the finish but apparently Dave’s is not capable of delivering that. I do not recommend them at all. If you do use them…make sure you get it clearly in a co tract that there must not be any sanding marks, water popping or bubbles in the finish and that debris in the surface is not tolerable. My recommendation to Dave’s is train Justin on his customer service skills or find someone else that can actually follow through and send the person out to look at the floor before you send in someone to do more work!The only positive is that I like the stain color but I could have gotten that from any one else.
