The clinic is victim of its own success. I started the program with Dr. Lyon and followed up visits and he was taking the time. Everything was so perfect in a small structure. I was really motivated. Now you have a numerous number of Dr. that are only there to train and you don’t even know which doctor you are going to meet on your next visit as they change frequently. I went back to the care of my GP. The groups are way too big and often topics are not covered entirely. A followed presentation with bullets points is being emailed to you but it has not the same impact.

This facility has changed my life. The staff are both professional and knowledgeable. The centre is not all about weight loss it focus on health and well being. Tests are run frequently to ensure all health factors or issues are investigated. I have committed to a life style change and have been very successful on the program. The team members there provide ample support and have a diverse expertise. Joining the program provides the tools necessary to be successful you need to make the commitment to change. I highly recommend this program to those willing to commit. If you fall off track reach out and they are there for you.

Wasn’t impressed. Email correspondence is very poor. All seeems quite poorly organized not professional. Took me 6 months to get booked into a sleep apnea testing, and by the time I finally got in, I was moving away and couldn’t even get my results. Complete waste of time. Groups were far too large to be beneficial.

The Medical Weight Management program from Obesity Medicine and Diabetes Institute has been life-changing for me. Last year, I was over 250 pounds, with high cholesterol, fatty liver, gastrointesintal issues, and more. I was exhausted all the time, and my sleep apnea was getting out of hand. I wanted to improve my health and my life but I didn't know how.I was referred by my family doctor to the program, and it did take a few months for me to get changes to my diet going. The program's doctors, and zoom course presenters (which includes dieticians, doctors, and more) are all very professional and experienced in both the needed changes and the psychological approaches that allow a person to start making changes. The second time I started the initial 8 week course, I was able to start implementing the dietary improvements and approaches that patients are educated to attempt.At this time of writing, through gradual, incremental, sustained diet and exercise improvements, I'm so much healthier. I lost over 80 pounds, and nearly all of my health conditions have improved, and some are no longer present at all. I feel healthier than I've been since I was a teenager.For anyone that feels that they want and need to be healthier, for anyone that has the motivation and wants to learn the best practices, and for those that want to start to feel that motivation, I would recommend this program.

I was referred by my doctor after I reached a new peak weight and was experiencing medical problems due to it. I didn't fill out the entry form within the first week and they messaged me a personal reminder, which I really appreciated. Then....I didn't hear from them ever again. I followed up years later, and inquired if I was on the wait list or if I was rejected and the person I spoke to told me, with 100% certainty and curtness, that I never filled out the entry form. I emailed proof. She rudely responded that it didn't matter because the referral was now expired. I felt like I was being scolded by the host of The Weakest Link. Remember that show?Anyway, complete lack of compassion, kindness, or organization. I blame this place as much as I blame my lack of self control. I weigh more, now BTW.What's with this trend of hiring the rudest person possible to answer the phones and emails? You think a weight loss centre would practice admitting to ones own mistakes, but nah. Don't waste you time.

This clinic has changed my life. Dr. Feeley, Veronica Kasinik, dr. Lyon, among other helpful doctors... Are amazing. Also Shane in reception... Amazing. They all go above and beyond for their patients. I'm serious, my life has been forever changed by all the support and guidance I've recieved through them. I am truly grateful. My life is changing for the positive and I owe it to these incredible people. Calling them has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life.

Good on this clinic for attempting to help us battling obesity. But boy oh boy, do you need some more compassionate staff. I got a call today from someone by the name of Treena and she was extremely cut throat. No compassion or care at all about me as a patient. I don’t want to return to this!!! No thank you!!!

The patient are in a good hand. The clinic staff includes Doctors, dieticians take care carefully of the patients based of their needs. You can find thousands of a perfect workshops with formative contents. People with OBCT will be supported by a group of dietitian, psychologist, councillors, surgeons and a lots of other support. POS people will be accepted by referal. They could learn how to cope with their situation.

This has been a journey for me (and still is and will be). I found the Core Program not very useful because I was already doing a lot of the suggested things and had the same information already. The staff running the Core Program are excellent and they try to motivate you, even though your motivation and inspiration are completely 'non-existent.' What I learned is that the 'failures' of the beginning (in my mind, I was doing poorly and not liking anything of what I saw or heard), became the Successes of today. I met Dr Lyon yesterday for the first time. He presented the Focused Interval Weight Management Approach. I found his presentation excellent: a very good balance of personal anecdotes and scientific research. For the first time in 5 months, I got it. This is a permanent life style commitment, not to lose weight only, but to also learn about and heal your unfinished emotional issues, to discover that you can apply self-regulation and ultimately become a self-reliant individual to yourself and to others too. Nobody can do this for you. Only you. However, with the professional and humane care that you can receive from this clinic, you will eventually work on your shadows and bring light to your life: from the inside out. It is not about excess of sugars, carbs, and fat only, it is about a lack of understanding, connection and support. For me, this team and this program have been extremely helpful, even though I have been a slow learner, I know in my heart now, that I'll be a life time participant. I'll show up with the best I can offer at the moment, knowing that like minded people will understand, support, educate and encourage me all along the way. I have so much to say but for now, only THANK YOU to Dr Lyon and to all the staff who keep an unwavering faith in all of us.Haydee
