The work got done somewhat in a timely manner and the work was well done if I'm being honest.I ended up with extra fees that were not covered by my insurance which was a surprise on my end.Due to the extra fees, I had to pay Joseph in installments, but I ended up paying him within the week. However, by the 3rd day I got an email from a lawyer/collection agency even though I had payed him (Joseph Awad) several thousands of dollars. This is insulting and totally unprofessional on his part, and I have never experienced anything alike ever.After I payed Joseph in full, he messages me asking for more money than the invoice indicated. This was by far the worst contractor I have ever dealt with, and within the last year I have dealt with 3 different contractors who were far more pleasant to deal with. Joseph needs work on his communication skills as a business owner.

I am quite happy with the renovations to my home from basement to top floor, and I especially liked the suggestions on changing the main level floor plan which created a welcoming, more open space by flipping the living room and dining room and opening up the kitchen. Not only were suggestions made but drawings were provided to help visualize the change.I count myself fortunate my renovations were done well and within the timeframe discussed and can wholeheartedly recommend this company.

BUYER BEWARE! If you're thinking about hiring ACI Construction Management (or Joseph Awad), to handle any major work, think twice! This company is a disaster and an incompetent. They don't even know how to make structural or architectural plans.ACI Construction claims that ‘’ACI Construction Management is the industry leading standard for construction design and management. With over 10 years in the business and over 20 years of experience ACI Construction Management has built a culture around quality, integrity, and efficiency.” Their presence in the GTA Area is a disaster.They will sign you up to a high-premium contract and then hire subcontractors at half the cost and provide no supervision for any work. Subcontractors can do what they want, sometimes not up to Code, and with no guidance or supervision from GC. ACI Construction will be charged for costly mistakes made by subcontractors. Subcontractors can cause damage to expensive finishing materials, and ACI Construction will not be held responsible. Don't bother. Don't waste your money. Spend it elsewhere where you can get quality, communication and responsibility. ACI Construction was hired to renovate our house. The project was not yet complete and it became a nightmare. ACI Construction Management promised completion in 10 months, but it turned out to be over two years. We had no choice but to fire ACI Construction. It took a while for another General Contractor to fix all the mistakes made by ACI Construction Management.

Joe helped my fiancé and I with our home when there was a leak in the roof. Long story short, we were there for 2 months and water started to come through the walls.Joe and his team were kind and attentive through the whole process. They worked with the adjustors and insurance company, so we didn't have to stress about it.They did great work and made the best of a bad situation. Would 100% recommend for any emergency work needing to be done.

ACI Construction Management is one of the most professional construction companies I have dealt with. They are honest, transparent, and are very detail oriented. I will be recommending them to everyone I know and can't say enough positive things.

ABRAAM CONSTRUCTION INC AWAD lied to me about City inspections, damaged my house, covered it up, and left dangerous conditions in my home. This put my family and myself at risk. Here are some examples of things that Inspectors found: my roof had sharp shingles missing from it, which could have fallen on us and cut us; there was exposed wiring in the attic = potential for fire danger; and extremely hot pipes were not properly insulated. This could have caused us to be burned. Because they lied about getting approval, the City is forcing me to remove construction ABRAAM. DON'T HIRE THEM. They are dangerous. They also subcontract a part of the remodel to another general contract without my consent. ABRAAM CONSTRUCTION INC AWAD (Joseph Awad), did not supervise the other contractor, whose license was suspended and is currently being prosecuted. They took my money, and left my family devastated by the extent of the damage they caused to our home.

Joseph Awad worked with us on a basement remodel that would have cost $90-$150k., and they provided us with an elaborate proposal. By October 2022, we signed the principal agreement which included $500 for Awad's architect's review of the work, giving us peace of mind for this major investment. We expressed our willingness to commit and preferred to begin the process (and make a large upfront payment) during the early months of 2023. Joseph provided the usual disclaimer regarding costs as well as noting that design fees may increase starting January 1. At that time, inflation had not yet become an issue for us. When we reached out again in mid-January to inquire about pricing increases, Joseph and his team confirmed that $12,000 for design fees had gone up from the original estimate of $7,000 - this time without warning us beforehand. He further confirmed that it was simply due to inflation. When I questioned him why there hadn't been any earlier notice before December's increase, Joseph replied that it had become necessary due to demand increases. He claimed he had 150 customers who are in my position and couldn't notify all. How is that possible? 150 customers paid something in October for the start and were ready for a contract, yet they wanted to wait three more months? In my opinion, Joseph Awad's behavior is unreasonable and unprofessional. While it could be possible this firm does good work or has other professionals, I wouldn't recommend them when there are so many professional, good, reasonable firms available that could do the same job just as well.
