A rather convenient place in downtown Montreal for some authentic Hong Kong Cantonese style dim sum.An expanded or better yet, full dim sum menu plus a good wok hey chef cum good oil would be greatly welcomed I presume.Pics: December 2022 (twice) / January 2023 / April 2023 / etc.•Rating is for a few steamed dim sum dishes we usually order, for take-out back home or eating right in the car, compared to what I am/was used to in Hong Kong. BTW char siu tasted good, same as Brossard branch, would be better if more tender. Stir-fried dishes generous portions if it's still true, taste-wise different from Brossard branch dinner dishes, but neither location authentic HK taste - the strong flavor dishes were too exaggerating/overpowering, while there's some Mainland Chinese feel (or Southeast Asian in the case of stir-fried hor fun i.e. no wok hey in terms of wok temperature) for the lighter tasting dishes.101, 103, 108, 109= pretty decent and consistent, sometimes very good107= good texture, sometimes a bit too garlicky and/or too salty102= not bad for Montreal; in Canada prefer GTA or some Richmond versions (the ones that make you fight across the table to get, those juicy ones that make you dismiss har gau altogether)101 Har gau102 Siu mai103 Lotus leaf sticky rice107 Steamed bean curd rolls108 Lao sha bao109 Char siu bao•==

It really is the best dim sum in Montreal. Will be back many times. Every dish is amazing!

delicious, we ordered the general tao and they brought us a real MOUNTAIN of food, you can’t beat this place (especially considering the prices !)

It is an okay dim sum place for Montreal, but the establishment pales in comparison to its counterpart in Brossard.Har Gao: 5/5. It is perfect! You can taste the slight sweetness from the shrimp and the dumpling skin is thin and uniformed.Pork and shrimp dumpling with peanut sauce: 4/5. Great peanut sauce but it’s taste overpower the dish, and in my opinion needs a little bit more kick for the amount of chilly oil they used.Charsiu pastry: 3/5. The pastry itself is buttery with distinct layers that makes biting into it such a delight. Unfortunately, the charsiu filling is kind of cold.Rice noodle with beef: 2/5. The flavor profile for the dish was right, but it was way too dry, especially the beef chunks. The stir fry was not done well, since I bit into a noodle that was full on salt.Overall, if you are craving for dim sum and do not want to wait in line, this is the place for you. However, if you want an amazing dim sum experience, this is just not where you should be.P.S. they have a lot less selection compares to other dim sum establishment, but it is to be expected since it’s quite small.

I have walked by this restaurant many many times and never noticed it until last week. After reading the reviews here, a friend and I had supper there last night, the food was amazing and the service was excellent. There’s no liquor license and no ambiance whatsoever but if you’re looking for good food…this is the place. I will be back again and again!

The food is really good but the staff seemed rude, feel like she didn't want to work and every time we didn't understand what she said, she wouldn't repeat and would just stare waiting for an answer... anyway, would probably order the food online rather than going in person.

The food was good, however, the service was not great. The waitress seemed to be in a hurry and was rather rude when serving our table. I would definitely go back for the food, but hopefully it feel be more welcoming next time.

Ordered rice combo with chicken and Cha Shao. It was sooooo delicious! The chicken was extra tender - it just blew my mind.
