CIBC Branch with ATM

I only come to branch for one reason, to get cash or talk to someone because of an issue. Now no tellers, atm doesn't work properly for dispensing cash. Just a huge waste of my time, why am I paying all these fees?

What a complete waste of my time . I made an appointment here and the advisor from the get go was looking for ways to get out of helping us do something so simple, I had to call the telephone banking agents myself and put them on speaker phone to tell him what to do and even then he refused to help us and refused to get his manager. Complete lack of customer service or maybe complete incompetence because of lack of training . Be warned .

The manager seems like he knows nothing about what he is doing ! My restaurant has been in this Bank over 12years , Last 2 months my Bank has been compromised so I have to close the old account and I open a new one. Before, every month the Bank statement with the check stub mail together in one envelope but now I have to come to the bank and beg for it. I want to move to another bank.

Less then one star is my review…What a waste of space this bank is.Its very nice having a CIBC in the north langley area.How ever this location is not a real bank but is a true disappointment to the bank’s customers.Walking into the bank you will find no bank tellers.How is one supposed to do banking without a teller?ATM’s are only good for some banking needs.Should invest in a counter, computer and some staff to have a real bank.

It's not my home branch but was in the areas so thought I would stop by to make a business deposit. They wouldn't accept the money! They don't do that anymore" as they are tellerless! Told me to go elsewhere wasting time and money. So much for "Imperial Service"!"

Just the worst bank I have ever dealt with. Messed up my mortgage renewal forcing me to go to Scotia Bank . Gave them a second chance with some GICs I have but had my calls and messages ignored. Avoid this branch .

ATTENTION: They do not know what they’re doing at this … whatever it is. Its not a branch. Not sure why cibc would want to ruin its reputation this blatantly but clearly I’m not the only 1 star review. Makes you wanna shut down all your business with this bank. Lady said 15 mins wait, I’m standing in the bank for 30+ mins now with no hope in sight. You’ve been warned. Cibc if you guys read your reviews, shut down this pathetic place & just replace it with even less

Trying to get anyone to do something quickly here is like pulling teeth. The associates and manager never answer the phone, and are frequently absent. There is no accommodation for remote completion of paperwork by fax/email/docusign even after meeting and confirming ID in person, which shows little attempt to adapt to the current circumstances. You will always have to return to the branch in person to complete any paperwork, by which point you will find the manager or underwriter have already gone home for the day, delaying things only they can do or approve even further. This simply gives me the impression that the manager doesn't have any genuine interest in the needs of the customers and does not keep the staff motivated or held to any kind of standard of service. The result is what should be one day of paperwork takes a week of back and forth. Go to another branch if you can.

Centrally located in Walnut Grove - however, the service available at this location is very limited. Sure, if you would like to make an appointment to see a financial advisor, you would not have a problem. But, they recently decided to get rid of all tellers - which in my opinion is NOT A GOOD IDEA. Despite the trend, many customers (virtually all baby-boomers and older) still require face-to-face service when it comes to banking. I have been banking with CIBC for 15+ years now, and I know when it comes to technology, CIBC leads amongst the BIG FIVE in Canada. I can see clearly WHY they would do this, though. I want to cut down labour cost of hiring/keeping tellers - whom they see as the least important workers in the sector. Tellers do NOT bring in any business to their company - simply put, but their financial advisors, and mortgage experts do.Although, this switch over is inevitable at some point in the future, it is too early now - that's all I'm saying. When you see 2.5 ratings in a bank, you know you are not walking into a good customer experience business.

Unfortunately, the elimination of tellers and the new format is not working. For anything beyond using the ATM, require an appointment. Getting a simple bank draft or cheque certified, expect a 30 min wait mid week day.
