I am gluten-free which I find can be a major problem. I am not gluten-free free of choice. If you fortunate to find something if is usually over priced. Your friends and family get much better value when they can eat what is on the menu. I was very hungry and bought a bowl of watery soup and it was expensive. Please try to have something substantial for us hungry gluten-free folks. We are 1 in ten now.

Quick service, excellent food. It ain't Michelin-Star-blow-your-socks-off, but for a small-town Cafe, they serve a wicked good clubhouse. Prices are reasonable, staff personable. Worth your time and money.

This is my first time at the café and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of food items available. I ordered the barbecue chicken wrap along with a pasta salad and I have to tell you the pasta salad was exceptionally delicious. They had a nice selection of scones, coffee‘s and other desserts. Inside of the café it was quaint, very spacious and bright.

Four of us had lunch on Mother's Day, I found it to be a rather limited menu. The Quesadilla was pretty good, the salad looked excellent and was consumed, as was the Quiche and the scone. The Squasage soup of the day was not a fav, could not tell if there was actually meat in it??? Is this what the name meant?I did not feel like meat so I ordered the Veggie Feast sandwich, the sign promising a veggie delight. It was neither a feast or much of a delight. Some spinach leaves, sliced tomato, something forgettable under the cheese slice (which they should have asked about, when someone orders a veggie sandwich it may mean they are vegan or vegetarian and don't eat cheese).I must say I expected more veggies, maybe at least cucumber, some avocado perhaps, some sprouts, coleslaw, pickles, peppers, the list goes on. Unless they step up their game I would not recommend this sandwich, it was certainly not worth $16.95.The accompanying pasta salad, however, was delicious.Service was lackluster, They were busy but not THAT busy. And when I asked if they had refilled the water cooler, which ran out just before I got there, the waitress actually went inside, looked, they came out to tell me that they had. She was right there, she could have brought a glass of water out with her.Nice to sit out on the patio, above the main street in Chemainus, and watch the people go by, but we will probably not be back any time soon.

Recently started a new job in Chemainus so we thought we’d take a look around for a quick coffee and lunch. The place was adorable, location is awesome for parking; staff was super fast and friendly! Hot chocolate and smoothie were both super creamy and tasty, and the food was delicious ! Will be back!

Reasonable prices for a range of food. Love the muffins and scones. Places to park bikes on large deck that has plenty of seating and open (and used) most the year.

3.5. Number one go too lunch/coffee place in Chemainus. Great character building atmosphere. New owners have big shoes to fill. I hope they can keep service and quality standards as high as founders and previous owners. It’s all in the details. We will see. So far pretty good. I noticed some of the signage was being done a little hap hazzardly and one of the servers seemed a little rushed to take my order, hopefully just a one off. Usually a good place to have a bite and meet friends.

Very cute and chill café. My fianće and I went on the long weekend and were surprised they were open but glad as then it gave us something to enjoy. Friendly staff and clean tables, too.

Excellent coffee and great food options. There are meat, vegetarian, and vegan options for their daily homemade soups. Breakfast wraps made to order and are jammed with fresh ingredients.Really nice patio outside for those excellent Island mornings and afternoons.Note that they're closed on Fridays due to staff shortages.

Busy place! Must be a great place for food right? We found the food adequate with good portions. It was a tight squeeze for the 11 of us but after ordering in the long line up the food came pretty close together. Interesting surrounds and good coffee and fresh juices. Pretty flowers, nice place for a short walk about and we were on our way. Over all I would come again if in the area.
