Henry's - Waterloo

I visited Henry's recently and was promptly offered help. I was looking for an entry level DSLR on a university student budget and Brady was able to not only show me many options, but I was able to test out the camera and different lenses for myself. He suggested adding their warranty, which I highly reccomend with such a purchase and I'm glad it was mentioned. Brady was able to show features and recommended accessories I would need to get started. I confidently purchased the Canon Rebel T5, which I am very happy with so far. Overall great service, student discount, and professional staff who are not only friendly but know their stuff, too. Will definitely be shopping here for all my future camera needs!

I just had an amazing experience and top notch service at Henry's. The staff was so knowledgeable and went well beyond answering my questions. I bought lens cleaning solution, he cleaned my lenses for me and gave me suggestions on how to protect the lens. I am so pleased! Thank you so much. I will be back!

David Karaiskos and the rest of the Henry's team have been very helpful, patient, honest and knowledgeable in helping me to upgrade from a basic point-n-shoot to a proper Canon DSLR and then to a better lens than came with the kit. Their courses are excellent and informative. I don't know if their prices are always the 'best' but, given the nature of the beast (photography) it's not an inexpensive habit and one ought to know that going in. Dave in particular is excellent, knows his stuff and is always helpful and ready to offer advice. You're foolish to *not* consider Henry's if you're in need of anything photo-related.

I basically always end up buying cameras from Henry's. Typically I go there first when I'm camera shopping, ask for advice picking it out, then I shop around to see if I can find it cheaper or a better suited model. Every time I have ended up coming back and buying from Henry's and what they originally recommended. It doesn't hurt that they price match. It can be hard to get someone to help you as it is often pretty busy. They work on commission which can lead to some awquard exchanges if you were previously in the store and they have to decide if the first guy who helped you will help you again or if the open sales person will help you instead.

I received wonderful service shopping at the Henrys in Waterloo. I am new to the area and needed a few things for my camera, Ryan was very helpful. He showed me a few lenses that I was interested in and helped me get the battery and memory card I came in for. Very knowledgeable staff, willing to help you out even for small items. I will for sure be coming back when I decide on my next lens.

Been shopping at Waterloo store for over 7 years. Staff are knowledgeable and responsive. Stock is good, or they will get it in. We rent pro lenses and have them conveniently shipped from Toronto. Warranties are excellent, even replace scratched filters. They handle all my semi-pro needs. For bargains, discontinued models, consumer products, there are alternatives in the Waterloo area. This is a photographer's store.

After a terrible online purchasing experience with a sensor solution / swab package from B&H (not really their fault, more so unclear listing and misinformed research), I thought I had totalled my newer Sony A7ii sensor.Andy at the Waterloo location talked me off the ledge. He suggested a different cleaning solution and swabs. He recommended replacing my old blower with a new one (I guess they need to be replaced, mine was 10 years old). He went above and beyond by confirming online that the sensor does not completely lock when you clean it (a 'jello effect'). He checked store stock of other A7ii in the event I did destroy my camera (stock was low at the time). He even mentioned Henry's offers a rental service if I did need to send my camera in for cleaning (and offered multiple options) - something I did not know they offered! Last time I enquired about rentals, I was told I had to drive to Toronto to pickup and drop off - now I can go right to a Henry's location.In any case, Andy provided the best customer service I've had in a long time. Thank you so much for saving my camera!

I have purchased lots of equipments from Henry's in the pastIn the past they used to be expensive, have attitude and generally not that great customer service.This year i have returned back to try them out again.Wow what a difference. I have started to deal with young sales man Andy" and I never experience this kind of customer service anywhere else. Andy will go extra mile to get you what yo need and on time and now they have competitive prices and will price match any other reseller. Last product I have purchased

I stopped in at the Waterloo location not knowing much about digital cameras at all. As I walked in I was greeted by Dave, who was super helpful in explaining the differences between camera systems and all that comes along with the digital world. He was thorough, knowledgeable and very patient while I asked my basic questions. All in all I had a great experience shopping at Henrys Waterloo. Left with a new Sony A6000 package.

Great store, and very helpful.I bought a Nikon package and signed up for a course on the camera.Had problems with the memory card so i went back to store. They were very willing to help and went through my set up. All was OK but for some reason the 62 G card would not work. they tried a new card same thing.Long story short they gave me 2 32 G cards which seem to work fine.They are researching the problem with the 62 G cards and said they would advise me of the results.Contrary to some blogs which crucify this store, I find them very professional and willing to help. Their price better than Walmart and Costco not to mention post purchase service.I recommend this store to all beginners!
