Hey it's a free museum! Small, a little outdated and has a bit of a church basement smell, but otherwise it was a nice time killer for us! We have never been in before!

It was an interesting place to visit. Since the bridge was closed due to 45 mile an hour winds. I had never been to Michigan to visit. I was visiting everything I could each and everything I could each day.

Fort de Buade Museum
St Ignace has several different museums in this is one of the better ones. Unfortunately I had my three-year-old daughter with me on this visit and could not take time to look at all the displays and enjoy all the history. This Museum is a self-guided tour with many many many displays and antiques. I would love to go back with just my wife and spend a few hours looking at everything, yes it is that big you could Lose Yourself for a few hours. The tour is free, however there is a suggested donation of $5.

Small museum in downtown Saint Ignace with a surprisingly good display of regional information and historical artifacts. Well worth the visit. Friendly helpful staff. Free admission. Relies on donations.

A small free museum with a very good presentation of the history and artifacts of region. Friendly staff. It is definitely worth visiting.

Dedicate at least 2 hours to going through and reading the exhibits. I have been to the museum at the crazy horse monument in south dakota and the collection in St. Ignace is on par with theirs. A must see attraction that's great for a rainy day.

This little place is full of amazing history.. The 5.00 dollar donation to see it is well worth it
