Eganville Public School

Diamond in the rough, I attended from 1998 to 2006. My first few years of school were beautiful here, but from grade 5 onward I encountered talent squashing, favorite playing, and selfish teachers. Even my old faithfuls ( favorite teachers) turned their backs on me in my final years at the school. Bullying was a part of daily life and nothing was done to stop it or protect those of us who were victims of it. I have no doubt that this later contributed to my low self esteem and struggles with anorexia. Grade 8 graduation was ticket to freedom. Opeongo High School nurtured and encouraged my talents. Every teacher was fair and kind.
