Kind staff/owner, cozy environment and fun to browse, but the prices are so marked up it's ridiculous. I'd understand a 5-20% price makeup, but many records that I price checked were double or almost double price. If money doesn't matter to you at all, I'd highly recommend this place. For most people, I would not.

This place has a very nice selection of vinyl dabbling in every genre. If you are desperately looking for a specific vinyl this might be the place. The store is well laid out and not too cluttered. The only down side is the price of vinyl. I could not find any used vinyl less than $30-$35. I don’t know when a used mass produced Foreigner vinyl became $35 when I can buy a new one for almost the same price. It defeats the purpose of buying used vinyl for cheap. Definitely miss when you could pick up most of these for less than $10. Good luck picking!

I first shopped at Vinyl Records over 20 years ago. 2 or 3 locations later he is still going. Save your money and you can literally buy 3 or 4 records at another place instead of the one your money will get you here. That being said....big selection. Beautiful new store. I stopped buying a long time ago from here because the prices will only make you very very mad if you know your stuff. It's just outrageous. I think he must pray on the tourist shopper in trendy Gastown.

A great selection but unfortunately will not be back due to the rudeness of the staff. Also closed the store, when it was full of people, 10 minutes early. Wouldn’t recommend.

I just phoned this place today looking for 10” inner sleeves for my water-damaged sleeves and before I could even finish my question, the owner talked over and interrupted me. Extremely unprofessional behaviour and language from him. “Just keep looking around, I don’t pay attention to what other people do.”I talked to FIVE different record stores today (Red Cat, Neptoon, Audiopile, Beat Street, Zulu) and not ONE, except this place, reprimanded me for asking one simple question.A typical Discogs scalper runs this store. If you’re a tourist visiting the area, please save your bucks and buy from elsewhere. Neptoon, the oldest record store in town, is a great example. Beat Street is right nearby, their stock is expansive AND at retail prices. If I could, zero stars. But sure, one star for the pretty location.

Cool record store with great selections, the price are ok. But if you’re into vinyl records check this place out.

Prices are marked up but the store has some of the best selection of music and the owner is really excited about his records which makes the overall experience great.

Extremely overpriced. You can buy new vinyls at Audiopile for half the price. The guy working here was pretty rude too. I picked up a vinyl on display and he ran over to me grabbing it out of my hand. Could have politely just told me that the display models can’t be touched. Super odd experience and won’t be coming back.

This is a great shop if you like meticulously organized vinyl, and the selection size is quite large but if you actually want to purchase a record, or browse the stacks without an employee peering over your shoulder or following you around, then I would direct you the far superior shops outside gastown (Neptoon, Red Cat, Audiopile, etc.).Judging by the astoundingly high price of their records, I’ve got to assume the rent for their space must be ridiculous. Believe me, anything you find there can likely be found at another shop for 30-40% cheaper.Support small and local business but not at the expense of a comfortable environment and decent pricing.
