Comfort Maple Conservation Area
Don't blink or you'll miss the dirt road/path to get to the maple. It's amazing! +500 years old! I'm so glad we went.

Comfort Maple Conservation Area
From the country road to the stone driveway to the comfort maple, can be easily passed/missed if you are not looking for it. Signage is minimal from the road. The site itself is very clean and the Comfort Maple itself is fenced off to protect the tree. There are benches to site on and parking for a handful of vehicles.

Comfort Maple Conservation Area
Come see one of the oldest sugar maple trees in Canada, estimated at 300 - 500 years old.The tree itself is surrounded by a fence to help protect it, leaving only a small area for walking and parking for four vehicles.Look for a faded conservation area logo sign on the south side of Metler road marking a single lane dirt road to the tree.

The 400-500 year old sugar maple trees that stand quietly on the Niagara land are the oldest trees in Canada, and just taking a look at them with their strong presence is soothing.Especially on winter mornings, when the snow is like a carpet, it is a place where you can spend a special time. It can get muddy, so don't forget your boots!

I definitely recommend anyone in the area to stop and visit this wonderful tree. It is very huge. This year we visited and found they have it blocked off. Hope you enjoy

What a cute and secluded park! Well known by the local townies and advertised by the local sugar bush attractions. Its worth taking a quick drive over to after the sugar bush to see how massive this tree is.

Comfort Maple Conservation Area
A wonderful stop to pay homage to a part of Canadian history. The tree is majestic and it's neat to see how it's been shored up with ropes and brick and mortar over the years. There is a bench and a few parking spots and it's not likely most visitors will stay more than 20m since there's no walking trails as it's surrounded by a private farm. No other amenities needed. If you are traveling the area I highly recommend visiting this grand heritage tree every season to watch it change. It's a piece of Canadian heritage on a patch of land that shouldn't be missed. Hugging this tree felt good!

Comfort Maple Conservation Area
This tree is believed to be the oldest Maple tree in Canada, growing since the 1500’s. The land it sits on has been in their family since 1816! See it while you can - it has had several lighting strikes and looks like it won’t be around too much longer.

Comfort Maple Conservation Area
It worth to come and visit this oldest auger maple. The maple tree is prosperous and you can feel the strength. Time goes, but the tree stands forever.
