Sawpit Bay Motel & Cabins

Very friendly hosts. Great place for an overnighter or semi rustic camping. Great beach across the street (lake Superior). Quiet Monday to Friday but a little noisy (4 wheelers) on weekends. No dump and limited electricity (20 amp).

Most amazing place to stay on Hwy 17 N.I have stayed here numerous times in the Motel and Cabins. Extremely clean beautiful place and very friendly owners. The have wildlife and nature pictures from the area hanging in the rooms and cabins. In the cabins they have everything you need to prepare your food, they also have BBQ'S they let you use. Pet friendly as well. Very reasonably priced. I can't wait to return.Also have available camping spots..some with jydro included.

Very clean room, friendly owner who kindly accommodated our last minute and late arrival.No wifi and no tv in the room but not a problem as we were just passing through for a night.

The last hotel for 100 kms heading west. Rooms are clean. No frills, no TV, no wifi, but hot shower comfortable clean bed. Microwave and fridge. And beach acces just across the road. The owner is cool and he'll get an interesting conversacion any chance. Great accessibility and parking. Needs more rooms. Ask for more toiletries if missing.

Great clean, no frills type rooms, friendly accommodating staff and the multiple beaches across the road are amazing! We really appreciated the clean showers and the fresh smelling sheets on the beds. Our two chihuahuas loved the large mowed fields to walk and play fetch in. 5 stars definitely recommend.

Well.. beds seemed clean. Smelled awful. Dirty towel (white towel with a brown stain), sticky floors vinyl AND carpet. Water does not seemed filtered as it came out white and was salty.We were tired and this was our only option.

Direct access to two of the greatest beaches on Lake Superior. Super scenic large stone pebble beach nestled in large raw rock cliffs. On the south end of the point is a large classic sand beach. We are repeat customers. The accommodations are good value, clean and comfortable. The owner has been continuously renovating and adding amenities though we can't wait for better food options in the area or on-site. A nice little vacation spot. Nothing too fancy ... until you hit the beach!

The owner is inconsiderate. They gave away one of our rooms. Four of us arrived at midnight. We were exhausted after travel more than 7 hours from Thunder B . Right in the afternoon, we told them we are coming but will be late reaching around 8 or 9 pm but we were late as we were fishing in the White lake, Mobert. Phone reception is poor or no service most of the time along highway 17 and we never received the owner call which she claimed she called us.No matter what reason, they could have just charged us the credit card if we don't show up instead of giving our room away. The owner just asked us to go to Sault St Marie without showing any regret of her act.
