Sutherland-Chan Clinic

I've gone to Sutherland and Chan for many years, seeing many different therapists, some better than others. I recently saw Felix at the new Davisville location (its nice and modern). He is top notch, very experienced, aware, respectful and he gives a very good massage. Perfect pressure, hits all the right spots and doesn't overuse the oil which I appreciate.

I recently had my first and last experience with this place. First of all when I got there I present her with my Indian status tax except , at first the receptionist took the card then looked at it and told me that they do not except it and that her manager told me I have to file the tax myself, I asked to speak with the manager and she said she was unavailable, then I asked for the manager name and she told me it was confidential. I know she was talking to the manager and she just refused to come and speak with me . The manager is a coward and would not speak or acknowledge me at all. I felt very uncomfortable and wanted to leave, I felt discriminated against. I quickly cancelled my appointment bc I was so upset . This is the first place ever that refused to accept my government id. The problem is the manger was ignorant to the situation, and just ignored me. I would never recommend this place .

I can’t speak to the quality of the massage as I did not get to have one. My issue is with administrative performance.I made an appointment Friday July 1, Canada Day & was told if there were not sufficient bookings they would not be open & they would book another day for me but would consult with me as to a convenient time for said appointment.They called me back & said I would need to book another day & I was completely fine with that.The person on the phone ( I did not get her name) said they had time either Thursday ( day before Canada Day or Saturday the day after.I checked my calendar and said I’d take Thursday and she said the appointment was for 3:15.I arrived today 15 min early to fill out the COVID forms & my medical form to updated my file and was told that my appointment for next Thursday the 7th of July.I clearly asked at the time of the rebooking was that for tomorrow the day before Canada Day & was assured yes.She then denied the conversation took place by saying she always says the date.My issue is that even if her recollection is correct that she said the date; when I asked her to confirm if it was tomorrow, this Thursday she confirmed that.I shan’t return for the 7th of June.

Chloe is a remarkable RMT! I've gone to Sutherland-Chan for the past year and each time I've seen Chloe. She's professional, friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to sports injuries. I will keep going back to see Chloe!

Leeane, is a great massage therapist however the clinic and their customer service is awful. they cancel your appointments without any solid reasons and their rules always has to be different than the norm. I have been going to them only because of leeane but ive been having so much hard time with their appointments and customer service.

I had a great experience here with Katrina. She had a lots of advice to share and was very conscientious to check in on what felt painful and what helped. I left with some great suggestions for future maintenance I can do on my own.I've also had great communiaction setting up appointments. Happy to come back again soon.

Best massage clinic in Toronto, without a doubt! It's the only one I trust as every therapist is really great and the clinic itself is very clean and well maintained. Management is super kind and accommodating as well, 5/5!

I liked the reception area on how it was really well lit, the decor and my massage therapist katrina was very thorough, nice and friendly. The receptionist was nice but she didn't say to me that they don't deal with the insurance company directly. It wold be nice to be told that at the very least. I always pay for my massages but most massage places will ask you if you want a receipt for insurance purposes or if you have insurance they will send it for you.

Very bad experience. I went with a pain in my right shoulder blade and neck muscles and paid over 130 CAD and came back with the same pain. I clearly explained I need neck therapy not full body message but the masseuse even didn't know which muscles she has to work on or find the stiffed muscles. after I insisted not to message other parts and just work on my neck as the stiffed muscles really hurting she said she needs to use a tool that was terrible. Apparently it supposed to warm the muscles or skinbut my skin was burning and I asked her to stop before she set a fire on my skin. Even she didn't touch the painful stiffed muscles. But when I go to physio I am pain free at least for a day. It is just 9 minutes walk to there but I never ever go there again just to pay money to them. Very bad for therapy.

Customer service was very disappointing, as I had filled out their online form to book a massage and they had not answered. I waited another week and tried booking again online, and again never heard from them.After 2 weeks of no response I called to book an appointment, and they rushed me off the phone saying their servers needed updating" and to call back later in the week.Sutherland-Chan is not worth the time and effort to book a massage
