Came by for some croissants and got coffee as well. The fougasse au fromage and croissants are really good!I got an iced americano the first time I stopped by, and the barista made me an iced aerocano. The taste of the iced coffee was amazing, and I thought Toledo in general makes their iced americano in that style. But, the other times I stopped by, the baristas made it like a regular iced americano. It was just that one barista making it special. The iced dirty chai, iced praline mocha and latte were good too:)

Wonderful local feeling as opposed to the tourist sections of Montreal. Amazing croissant and latte. Wonderful people who work there. I want to go back right now!

TLDR: good bakery, check it out if you love baked goodsSo far I ordered sliced bread, chouquette, frozen chocolatine, frozen croissant and apple turnover. I wasn't disappointed so far.Staff are super welcoming and efficient.Prices are fair for the quality.Generous portion for snacks and breakfast. Frozen goods are great for fresh-at-home-brunch. The instructions are clear and easy to follow

I've been buying my bread here for a few months and I can confidently state that this is one of the best bakeries in the island of Montreal.Everything they bake is exceptional. I particularly recommend the Tourte du Mont-Royal" and the "Pain qui tue" loafs. In terms of pastry everything I've tried is delicious

Look out Fou Dessert, Toledo is definitely a se very strong contender for best croissant. The chocolatine (see pics) and chocolatine aux amandes are super! Whole wheat sourdough is excellent too. Coffee however (I tried a simple latte) is just “meh”. Staff are friendly, informative, and thoughtful.

Good pastry go-to in Verdun area! Better than the competitor Première Moisson. Every time I go in I treat myself with something different, and have not disappoint so far. Have gone back many times for their apple turnover! Nice ambiance and friendly service. Staff speaks English and French. The only con is just pay attention at the cash, mistake has happened many many times, charging me different prices. Correct them when they charge you different price!!!

Bought some croissants on Fete du croissant... didn't taste as good as Mami Clafoutis or Croissant Monkland. Tasted a little too sweet for my tastes.I didn't eat it right away but had it same day...

I love this place! The fresh baked bread is delicious and the coffee is always good. It's usually busy, but that's a testament to how great it is. I'm always impressed with the selection of breads they have, from sourdough to focaccia. The coffee is strong and flavorful, perfect for an early morning pick-me-up or afternoon break. The staff are friendly and helpful too - they make sure you get what you need quickly so you can be on your way. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for some tasty treats!

Stumbled upon this “new” bakery for the first time today and we were promptly welcomed with friendly service. We only tried one item - which is the Fougasse aux Olives ($6 before tax) as they looked so appetizing however it fell short of expectation. Some of the olives had some weird taste of the “container”, maybe it’s just me.But I would be back to try their other pastries for sure.

I have been to the Verdun Store twice and once at the Mont Royal branch. Their bread is very good. They freeze well so I tend to buy extra to have on hand at home. I liked the whole wheat, Swedish with fruit and their multigrain. Their prices are reasonable too. However I find their pastries were either very good or not the best. I tried the following Pumpkin Spice Loaf (during autumn) and the Carrot Cake Loaf (this past week). They were both excellent. Moist, full of flavour and perfect crumb texture and balance of sweetness. The chocolate chip cookies I tried twice at two different times and locations. The texture and mouthfeel were were good. The size generous and price reasonable. The only thing I didn't like was that it was too sweet for my liking. If they added pecans or walnuts it may balance the cookie more and help cut down the sweetness altogether. The most disappointing was the blueberry maple chunk muffin. The blueberries were non existent (very few and very small). They were either dried or perhaps shrunken freezer burned looking that were supposed to be wild blueberries. I did not taste the maple at all and the texture was overly dense and heavy. Very greasy to the touch as if there was too much coconut oil. I barely ate a third of it and threw the rest out. Being vegan it is nice to find and I always appreciate any bakery that offers vegan options for pastries because many do not this nor do they have to. I want to give them my honest opinion on what I think of the vegan selection as I have had many non-vegan friends try it as I take extras home with me. They loved the loaves but found the cookies too sweet. As far as the service at both branches they have always been cordial, helpful, efficient and most of all professional. There was no cross conversations with other workers and they asked right away if I needed their assistance versus at some other places you are waiting for service (when they are not busy). I will definitely go back and get breads and whatever vegan loaf they have to offer and in season whenever I venture out in those areas. I would be willing to give the blueberry vegan muffin another try if I see there are more blueberries. Perhaps it was an off day. I am interested to try the other vegan muffin option but it wasn't available.
