Our grandson (3 1/2 years old) skates on Saturdays at 12:30. Just last weekend he was put into a group with a teacher/leader along with 3 or 4 other children. This worked much better than him shuffling along by himself for 30 minutes, as a 3 1/2 year old does not know what to work on by himself. Great work Skate LaSalle! Keep up the good work!! Vollmer has great free open skate sessions during the holidays. During the year, the pricing is really cheap. I do wish there were more public sessions. One thing, they need to ensure the refs are allowed to remove skaters who are not skating safely. My daughter was knocked over by kids weaving in and out of people very fast. Also kids were hopping over the side boards, and the ref was not allowed by management to enforce consequences for breaking the rules.

Decent facility with multiple ice pads and a swimming pool. Lots of room for kids to change for hockey. Stadium seating to watch the ice surface. Lots of parking and appeared to have parks outside for kids to play in the summer.Restaurants close. Generally a good experience at the rink.

Brought a few teachers from Colombia and my wife to see the figure skaters training. Very nice. They got to step on the ice for the very first time and loved the experience.
