Ordered a chicken and pork chop with black pepper sauce and curry beef brisket with rice. The price is slightly higher. Our dish came with either soup or hot tea. Soup is the best choice.Overall, the quantity and quality of food are acceptable, but we felt thirsty after two hours.

3.5/5 not only is this a cha chan teng but has a bakery with Chinese bun didn't try the buns we had lunch combo with borshce soup and pork chop rice and yin yern overall it was good space was clean and comfortable service okay price a tad on the higher side portion and taste on par.

2022 October 3.5★A Hong Kong style restaurant serving breads and meals. Seats about 24 persons, this small restaurant is fairly cozy.Curry beef brisket on rice $17.99Served with potatoes and carrots, this beef brisket was tender and Rich in curry flavor. Very good. Would recommend.Beef brisket with pho noodles $11.99Tender beef brisket, but very typical. OkBaked chicken and pork chops with Fettuccini and black pepper sauce $17.99Meats were cooked perfectly. Both crispy and tender. Full of flavors and pretty well priced. Portions were great.Free parking in the plaza.Would come again.

First time to try this Starchiva restaurant. Interior was very cozy & nice decor. Staff was friendly. Price was decent and portions were big. We tried the Signature Starchiva BBQ Pork & Egg on Rice, Beef Brisket on Rice Noodle soup and Black Pepper Sauce w Chicken Breast on Fettucine. Food was pretty delicious and full of HK style flavors. They offer fresh baked HK bakery $2.99 for most of buns or $12 for 6. Free in house cake dessert order after 4pm during weekday with selected choices. Will definitely visit again.

Food is okay but service is terrible.Do not recommend for birthday dinners1. We ordered a dinner combo. The duck wasn’t available so we had to substitute chicken2. One of the dishes came 1.5 hour late. It was served after dessert was served. We already packed the leftovers. Then they looked at us and said “ why did this come so late?” We looked back at them and said “ that’s exactly what we want to ask you guys.”3. The servers over stacked the lazy Susan, causing water to spill all over the table and floor. Then when we asked for help to clean up the spilled water, they only gave us paper towel and didn’t offer any help. They expected us to get down on our knees to wipe up the spilled water on the floor.4. The service was very slow. Once they served the birthday cake, we had to wave them down to get plates and sharing utensils.5. Any time we asked for service, the servers did not seem willing to help.I felt so bad for the birthday boy because it was a terrible birthday dinner.Do not recommend

This is a cute restaurant at Times Square. It is on the exterior so it's not as easy to find. It has a limited menu, but everything tastes great. You get a nice options of teas or coffees with your purchase. I got a lemon black tea, which had lemon slices in it and was great. It as offers pastries and baked goods for purchase. The only reason I'm knocking one star off is because it has a really limited menu, especially if you're vegetarian or vegan.

Meh. I ordered the baked porkchop on rice and was totally disappointed in the preparation of this dish. I expected much more authenticity from this Hong Kong cafe.I did not like the following:1. No cheese was baked on top of the porkchops. The porkchop was seasoned alright but there was no cheese and it didn't seem like it was baked.2. The sauce was more ketchup than tomato paste. The sauce should be more thick as well.3. The rice was plain. It should have been lightly fried with egg.The service that day was mediocre and slow. I don't think I will be coming back here again.

We had two dishes for lunch. Steam minced meat was good. Beef brisket Cheung fun was ok, because the brisket was not soft enough, too chewy. HK style tea is great. This location has bun too. Nice decor, friendly service.

There are 2 locations of Starchiva, one that's more family meal/banquet-style dining at East Beaver Creek, and this particular one that's HK cafe-style dining at Times Square. Both are under the same umbrella of restaurants.This Times Square Starchiva location isn't the biggest, but there are a decent amount of tables, and the space is clean and modernly decorated. Service was pretty good, especially by Chinese restaurant standards, though there were only a couple servers (potentially due to it being a weekday).The prices are on the higher side for HK style cafe food, but the portions were huge, and the food was cooked well. All the meals also came with drinks. The place also has a small selection of Chinese buns and cakes (we have yet to try them though).Parking is ample, though depending on the day, it could potentially get busy given how many eateries and stores there are at Time Square.

Been craving hk style diner food lately and decided to come by here for lunch.[ Chicken & Pork chop on fettuccine w/ gravy ] Both cutlets were cooked beautifully skin on chicken had a nice crisp to it and I chose to go with fettuccine as side for the first time instead of rice and was pleased on how much better it paired with the meal(imo).[ French Toast ] The diner also sell fresh pastries here as well so I knew I was in for a treat when ordering the french toast. The freshness of the bread really sets them apart. Great little fluffy goodness topped with butter and condensed milk.[ Curry fish ball ] I like the texture of the fish ball. It's firmness is spot on where it doesn't seem overly processed like ones that you find in supermarket/hot pot restaurants. Coated with curry, great combination.The food was great and staff here are friendly. However I do feel like they're understaffed. So I would suggest you ask for extra napkins (if you're a messy eater like me) while they take your order as it can be hard to get a hold of staff later because they're so busy.
