Might be the worst food I have eaten at a restaurant. Couldn’t chew the meat off the pork ribs. The gravy tasted like chemical. The chef should be fired.

Lovely dinner after night skiing. Food was great and they accommodate some of our family’s celiac disease exceptionally well. Dedicated gf fryer makes for more options than usual. Our server, Leandra, was knowledgeable about gluten in certain foods and patient with the menu questions we asked.

Worst poutine I’ve ever been served. Fries look like they were cooked in week old oil, then left under a heating lamp, and they used the wrong type of gravy.Chicken stew was edible, but might have come out of a can.Also, it’s expensive for what you get, but that was assumed going on.

I got a wrap. It was good, the others in our party got the half rack ribs, Alfredo, and curry. Not many people here last night so it was quiet which was nice for conversation. Our server was friendly and the food was good.

Food was subpar overall, ribs were a bit dry and potatoes and coleslaw in particular were unsatisfactory. Found the shrimp and chicken to be quite good. Service was very good, atmosphere was decent but not great.

The service was good. The atmosphere wasn’t pleasant. It was super boring, no music, nothing. The food was probably the worst food I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The calamari showed up and I could tell before I even sunk my teeth in to it that it was not going to be good. The placement and the look of the plate itself threw me off before I even tasted it. It was like chewing on rubber bands. I couldn’t even chew it, it was so over cooked. They asked if we wanted a different order of them and we refused. We also ordered the nachos with Brisket, I can’t even give these a star. West nachos I’ve ever had. There was about 5 pieces of brisket and it tasted like smoked lard. It wasn’t appetizing at all. There was barely any cheese and the cheese that was on it was so burnt. We were so hungry we ate them and when we were done, 3/4 of the plate was left of chips with nothing on them. Terrible nachos. We ordered the maple bacon lime wings, these were good, although I felt as if they had been sitting around all day. They were about a 7/10. Needless to say, if this restaurant doesn’t get a face lift in their food and atmosphere, I can’t see it lasting very long. Terrible food and terrible atmosphere.

I have no intention of eating here again. I ordered chicken strips and fries. The fries looked like they sat under a heat lamp for an hour and I only ate one piece of chicken because they didn't taste good at all and the second piece had a big piece of gissil in it. I showed the waiter and he offered me a free desert. So I picked a rhubarb crisp and didn't finish that because it sucked too.

Stemwinder ignored us for 25 minutes at a very dirty table so decided to head out the door to the Buckhorn and Main Bar where we had excellent service! Much nicer atmosphere and clean! Good bye Stemwinder bar, Hello Buckhorn and Main.

We were wary of this restaurant due to the bad reviews, but were very pleasantly surprised by the lovely service and very tasty food.The person looking after us was warm, friendly and helpful and our food arrived very promptly.My partner had the vegetarian burger and I had the rotisserie chicken.My chicken was really nicely presented, a fair portion and delicious. The broccoli was cooked perfectly and the mash was a perfect compliment. They were happy to sub the bbq sauce the chicken was meant to come with for gravy.My partner enjoyed his burger and the chips were great (they seem to get a bad rap here).I hope more people give this place a chance and start to leave some more favourable reviews!
