Lochie is a very knowledgeable, hardworking guide that does everything he can to put you on the fish. Even though my wife and I came at the very beginning of the season(mid March), we were fortunate enough to have a fantastic day of Salmon and Halibut( including one almost as long as my wife) fishing. Both of us can't wait to come back and head out with Lochie again, we can't recommend him enough. He is great with novice and experienced fisherman alike and you will absolutely learn something new and have a fantastic trip!

If you want a super fun and successful fishing trip, you have to go with Lochie! He made everything look easy and we caught a TON of fish. His expertise allowed us to catch out daily limit of fish while making it look easy! I would def. go again and recommend anyone planning to go on a fishing trip in that area to use his services! Thanks for the amazing and memorable trip!

I organized a family fishing adventure for 14 guests; men, women, children - mostly novices. Without exception, everyone had a great time and almost everyone caught their daily limit. Lochie was an excellent guide for all levels of fishing experience. We had a wonderful time and I highly recommend Tofino Fishing Guides.

Captain Lochie MacKenzie was a 10/10 guide! We were hoping for salmon, to see a whale, and to catch a dungeoness crab. A tall order! And Lochie filled that order personally and professionally. One asks a lot of a captain when they go on a trip including safety, comfort, knowledge, and and experience and Lochie provided them all. Would gladly use again and would recommend to a friend.

We went out with Lochie, the owner-operator of Tofino Fish Guides for a morning 6hr fishing trip and had a great time. From the boat which which was really comfortable for myself and three other friends, to the top of the line gear, to the Lochie's professional yet relaxed style and the loads of halibut and salmon we landed, it was a perfect fishing experience. From the novice to the experienced angler I'd highly recommend chartering with Lochie as we couldn't' ask for anything more and we look froward to getting back out on the water with him the next time.

My brother, son, and I hired Tofino Fish Guides this last August for a canoe/fly fishing trip down the Megan river. The trip was phenomenal. We started our adventure on a seaplane, something none of us has done prior. That alone was a blast. The scenic trip down the Megan was incredible, true wilderness. Our guide was great working with my son, but also giving my brother and I valuable suggestions. We hooked into a number of fish, seeing my son catch his first trout was one of the best parts of our vacation in Tofino. I would definitely recommend Tofino Fish Guides to anyone who is interested in a phenomenal fishing trip.

My brothers and I fish around the world for many species. I spend at least a week a year on the West Coast enjoying the great fishing. I selected Tofino Fish Guides based on the reviews and his personality over the phone.Not only was he an EXCELLENT guide - working hard to get us on to the fish and trying hard with tackle, he was fun and super friendly - even when he could not understand all of the New Zealand accents on the boat.Not only will I refer other friends to his service, I will likely be back again in the future.We got a couple great Chinooks, A fantastic haul of fresh crab and 3 perfect sized (30 to 40lb) Halibut.Thanks Lochie

This is my second year fishing with Lochie, and Tofino Fish Guides. I have been an avid fisherman for years, and this is by far the best fishing that I have ever done. Not only is the fishing incredible, the experience as a whole is unforgettable.Tofino is the place to go and Tofino Fish Guides is the fishing guide to go with! The boat is great, the locations that we went to were full of fish and Lochie knows the waters like the back of his hand, he will take you to places packed with fish! Not only do you catch lots of fish, but I continue to learn more and more about the best fishing tactics for success. I would highly recommend Tofino Fish Guides!! I cannot wait to go back next year!

We had a great day on the water with Ryan, one of his last charted of the season before heading south. Late in the season so the fishing wasn’t great, but we still had a great day on the water.
