AVOID AT ALL COSTI was placing a large lumber order with Sean Redmond at Bytown and was sent a detailed quote on Monday 01/31/2022. I based by contract numbers to my client off these numbers. And he had payment in full delivered to the store for the quote by 10am on Tuesday 02/01/2022. Less then 24 hours later. And once they had received payment, they informed me that they would need $8200 more for the order quoted less then 24 hours earlier.After 3 different sets of excuses that were very quickly disproved on the phone Sean took the “Pay the extra or dont” attitude and had no justification for the after-payment price change.Reputable businesses dont play these kinds of games.Shop elsewhere. It may seem like a fair deal, until you pay them in full.

Got the smaller items we needed to hang pictures. Never much stock of interior decor items, like tiles, flooring , lighting, bathroom fixtures. But they do have good staff!

Prices are good but they no longer send out flyers and you need to know exactly what you want as most of their stuff is in the outside yard. Store hours are also very limited.

Found the sheet metal I need. Home Depot & Rona didn't have any. This store has many good specials on many items.

Absolutely fantastic service, all the drywall was delivered exactly where it needed to be. Never had to lift a finger! Only place I'll be shopping from now on

I've had excellent service and the guys in the yard are very quick to load the lumber. I've got nothing but a very strong recommendation for this place. Prices are very good which is very important as well. I plan on buying my construction material here as my first stop in the future. I also like to promote local business when possible.

Counter guy refused to provide pricing or any useful help in general really. Went out of my way to stay local but will not ever try to buy from them again. Rude and useless, save your time and go somewhere that wants your business

Needed a replacement door latch which was no longer available. The guys found one in the back and didn't charge me. Great attitude to customer service and now it will be my first place to shop.
