Dek Rail

I had a great experience with Dek Rail and would recommend them. The railings are nice and solid and we’re really happy with how they look. For the deck above our carport we had Dek Rail install a semi-private PD2, with full height, horizontal aluminum slats. For the stairs, RD5, aluminum post & picket frame. Both in powder coat satin black.

I can say enough about the attention and detail that goes into this railing system. The support and information available to help with any anomalies is the best. Often talking with the owner, Tyler directly. I recommend this system to all my clients who are after a low maintenance,beautiful, modern railing system.

Felt compelled to write a review because of the quality of service and product I received from Dek Rail. Attached are pictures of my ALMOST completed deck railing. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the aluminum railing with cedar tongue and groove boards. Extremely unique design with hidden fastners for a very clean, modern and northwest look. I still need to install the top rail assembly to complete this railing. Beyond the product however was Tyler's customer service. After purchasing my Dek Rail materials I ran into an unknown issue with my deck causing me to change my deck dimensions and therefore chaning my railing and install needs. After searching the internet for quite some time for a privacy screens and ideas to block the wind around our swim spa and hot tub. I decided to contact DEK RAIL. What a pleasant surprise to find a company that was very professional and responsive to any and all questions I had. I did have some concerns about working with a Canadian company and shipping our order across the border, but Tyler eased our concerns and everything arrived as promised. Family, Friends, and Neighbors have all commented on how great the fence turned out. I opted to have top rail lights and what a difference they make. Completely hidden but they will give you excellent light during the evening hours. I put the power supply on a remote so with a touch of a button the atmosphere changes. Give Tyler a call or text and you will be surprised with their service and products that DEK RAIL has to offer. I did this as a DIY project with some help setting the posts in concrete and putting in an apron around the perimeter and under the rails and posts.

I recently installed over 100’ of RD5 railing from DekRail. The railing arrived well packed. Installation went smoothly, thanks to the thoughtfully engineered RD5 modular design, good manufacturing and excellent online support from Tyler. Videos were very informative and watching them was the first thing I did. In all instances when I had questions, Tyler’s response fully addressing my questions arrived shortly after. Tyler and his crew did a great job on our small project. Quality of the product and service were excellent. We required a custom piece to finish off the stairs and his crew made it, powder coated it and had it installed in no time. I am a general contractor and have installed numerous decks, stairs and railings in wood, but had never installed a metal balustrade. After much research, my client selected the Dek Rail system. Although the Dek Rail website has videos on every aspect of installing the system, they focus mainly on a face mounted post installation. I not only was going to do a deck mount installation, but also had a two-direction sloped deck. Tyler of Dek Rail fielded multiple emails and phone conversations with me to make sure that I understood the installation system. In the end, the project came out fantastic. The balustrade looks great, the lighting kit casts great ambient light and the client could not be happier. Too often you get a project in a box that comes with poorly translated instructions and a hopeless technical support line. That is not the case with Dek Rail. I've used Dek Rail several times, both for my own homes and for clients (architecture and design). The interactions with Tyler and the resulting products have always been top-notch. The systems are solid, attractive, and durable. Installation instructions are clear and precise, and if there are any questions, Tyler's responsiveness is pretty dang close to immediate.
