Botanical Gardens of Silver Springs

I went to the botanical gardens for the first time this weekend. They have done a great job with these gardens. Beautiful display of the flowers and plants that grow in this region. It is a lovely walk down the gentle slope of the garden and back up. Highly recommend a visit. Use the GPS on your phone to find it because it is located deep in the neighborhood of silversprings not on a main road.

Quite possibly one of the best hidden gems in the city of Calgary! The most amazing part is that it's volunteer run by the Silver Springs Community Association!!! From spring to snowfall, what you see will change with every visit. The variety of annuals and perennials is spectacular in this urban botanical garden! If you want to take a leisurely stroll through the entire garden and enjoy the space, give yourself two hours (can definitely be done in less, though). Consider bringing a picnic - there are plenty of tables and benches in shaded areas. It is also dog friendly, even having a fresh, cold water station! Off leash is allowed, but it's not fenced in. Free parking is limited and in front of a ball diamond so park at your own risk!

Volunteers do a great work keeping this place as beautiful as possible. A great way to spend some time surrounded by beautiful flowers.

One of my favorite places to go to for a leisurely walk. I love that it is an off-leash dog park as well as a top notch botanical garden. Thanks to all the volunteers who always work hard to make this place a beautiful space for all to enjoy.

Nice view. Just not like it. The experience being approached by aggressive dogs TWICE were too bad. We had to get out of here quickly. It is a off-leash dog park, but it is too cramped for it. Nose hill is a also off-leash dog place but good for people walking without dogs. Never ever go to a park without checking it on Google

What a little oasis in the city. It is clean, beautiful and green. The volunteers do a spectacular job. I loved that we could let the dogs off leash and all dogs were friendly and dog owners respectful of this lovely place. It is a gem

Wonderfully set up. Wheelchair accessible bathroom. Friendly and helpful volunteers. If you hate dogs that wont add to your enjoyment much.

Cute and quiet gem of a place in the N.W. part of town. Did a little walk around the different gardens. There is a mini playground close to the tennis court just by the gardens. There are some picnic areas as well.

A hidden gem! This beautiful walking garden is the perfect place to go for a walk. It has long trails and different themed gardens to visit along the way. Tirelessly maintained by community volunteers, the grounds have been flawless every time I’ve visited.
