Japanese games are nice. A lot of the same type of games but in different forms was ok but a variety would of been even better. The DDR game wouldn't let me add a second player and wasted 14$ trying to make it work, I asked the desk guy about it and if I can get a refund but he didn't care nor try to compensate for it. When I asked ifhe's going to look into it he just shrugged and that's it. Shady, very shady.

I'm usually at eSpot many days a week, however recent dubious business practises by the owner have led to server providers cutting off service to the arcade, rendering most of the japanese rhythm games completely unplayable. This not only affects me but many others of the Vancouver Rhythm Game Community that come to eSpot looking to spend their time. It's unfortunate to see the variety of cabinets at this location almost completely wasted, but I hope they can find a solution.

This is literally the best place in the city. I spent hours here two days in a row. They have hundreds of shockingly new machines straight from Japan including every rhythm game you can think of (that has an arcade cabinet available). Prices are shockingly cheap at $1 to $2 per play and if you're doing Konami rhythm games you get 3 songs per session. Some of these cabinets cost over $10,000.00 before shipping to Canada. This is truly unlike any other arcade in the country and I have no idea how it exists. Don't sleep on this place trust me ❤️

UPDATE: The owner has agreed to no longer threaten competitors and service providers, and as a result, all machines are once again operational. I hope the arcade community will continue to thrive in the Lower Mainland as a result of healthy competition and access to multiple arcades.Original review: I would give eSpot a solid 5 stars for the massive variety of arcade rhythm games they have, but unfortunately recent events have caused the network providers for all of those games to temporarily remove network access due to questionable behaviour from the owner. I will change my review once this is no longer the case.

Wow what a fun experience, lots of new updated games and machine, just like the ones I tried in Japan. Staff was nice and helpful. Only thing is parking is always quite full. But at least there is sufficient parking on third floor if you plan to stay for couple hours.

Huge venue with an absolutely fantastic selection of arcade games, especially rhythm games - probably the best in all of Canada. If that's what you're looking for, then this is THE place to be. They've got chairs for almost every machine too, which is a very nice touch if you intend on sticking around for a while. They'll also sell you Amusement IC cards which let you save your progress for Bandai Namco, Sega, and Konami games, as well as NESiCA cards for Taito games. The Konami machines are even connected to Flower's custom servers, so you can charge your Amusement IC card with Paseli to play the Konami games for a little cheaper and skip dealing with loonies (it's an involved process that I'd only recommend if you intend to come back regularly though.)At time of writing, the rhythm game selection is:(⭐️ = cabinets not found anywhere else in Canada.)(✨ = cabinets found elsewhere in Vancouver but nowhere else in Canada.)DanceDanceRevolution A20 PlusTaiko no Tatsujin Nijiiro ✨Taiko no Tatsujin 14 ✨maimai DX Festival ✨maimai FiNALE ✨Chunithm Paradise Lost ✨ONGEKI Bright ✨WACCA Reverse ✨beatmania IIDX 29 CastHour ✨Pop'n Music Kaimei RiddlesSound Voltex Exceed Gearjubeat festo ⭐️Nostalgia Op.3 ⭐️Gitadora HIGH-VOLTAGE ⭐️MÚSECA 1+1/2 ⭐️REFLEC Beat Reflesia of Eternity ⭐️Groove Coaster 4MAX Diamond Galaxy ✨Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone Ver.B Rev.3LoveLive! i feel sorry for the employees - ever since 2021 it seems like nobody ever gets clear communication as to duties or priorities. The games are delightful when things go without a hitch, but when there's problems, there's *problems*, and the recent outages and meltdowns seen in these very reviews are only further evidence of that. The venue is large, but its prone to unsanitary conditions with typically very few staff in-house at any given time.Credit where it’s due, there are some games here you cannot experience anywhere else in the city.If it's your only option or close by, it's serviceable, and you can definitely have a lot of fun if you know what to expect! But if you wanna play pool, darts, or some retro arcade games, there are better places in the metro area overall.I hope to see e-spot come back in a strong way some time in the future.

Monopolistic tactics to try and control the arcade scene in Vancouver. Will ban people from their location for simply doing business through other arcade channels that aren’t theirs, and intentionally raising the price of rare machines while not maintaining them. Did I mention the owner is also incredibly rude? Place is dirty too. Do some research and support your other local cab owners. Find some local meetups and just skip going here.P.S. I bet the guy that’s rude to customers is the one here in Google saying “we’ll have a talk with him.”Update: Owner has been caught making physical threats against members of the community.

Awesome arcade for the rhythm game lovers out there! Only a very select few arcades have these types of games in Canada. Some machines were a bit faulty but still usable; such as some Wacca panels not lighting up (but still reactive) and the right rim of the 2p taiko drum not working. The pricing for the arcade games is alright and it uses a coin-based system, not in-store credits which is good. There’s a change machine at the counter so you don’t need to bring coins prior to entering. The establishment itself does feel a bit cramped especially near the rhythm games but it is manageable and clean. Easy access to parking and transit too.

I visited this place to play ONLY Jubeat!! I couldn't find this arcade machine in any Canada place before and finally we could play it at here. (@Metrotown also has this machine but it was offline&no updated) There were a total of three machines available, all of which worked great, but the leftmost machine felt a bit old (it has a little vibration, but it didn't affect the gameplay). All three machines were running the Festo version, and e-amusement pass (Konami card) could be used. I paid $1 for each play. Pop'n Music machine looks can be used to the pass, however, I couldn't log in..maybe the keypad was broken. The front staff was very friendly and provided quick responses. Overall, the place was spacious and comfortable. We would travel back to Vancouver just to visit this place again.
