Holiday Inn Express & Suites Edmonton SW – Windermere, an IHG Hotel

This was a wonderful hotel. The staff was friendly and attentive. The front desk even called to check on us when we were running late to check in. The hotel was modern, spotless and quiet. Breakfast in the morning was kept well stocked right up to its end time. Coffee was fresh and so was the food. They have a nice business area, lots of seating areas in the lobby, and even a breakfast meeting room. They have a fitness center and pool. The area is conveniently located near major highways, but it is much quieter than an airport hotel. A very pleasing stay.

Stayed for 10 days due to homelessness, and the stay was okay. They definitely started to show discrimination and racism the last couple days. Workers giving attitude and snide gawks when we went for breakfast. At one point during the stay, they ran out of breakfast due to capacity of hotel. A big class of out of towners came and they closed the pool, and shut down the computer access in the lobby for no reason other than the patrons having indigenous descent. Cleaning ladies and night staff were definitely more accommodating and pleasant compared to day staff. Otherwise, location is okay, not much to offer if you are not driving. Conveniently close to Henday, but definitely a walk to restaurants, convenient stores or grocery stores. Breakfast was fine with variety, depending on availability. Cleanliness was top tier and rooms were comfy. I did appreciate the stay due to my circumstances, but the otherwise rudeness of other guests, disgruntled employees makes me hope to find a different hotel for a cheaper price and better pool.

Very Very bad service!!! We called them directly TWICE!! , the front desk recommended us to do a walk-in instead of making reservations. So we walked in and apparently the room that they told us to take doesn’t even fit the amount of people we have. That was a waste of time!! Now they wanted us to book two separate rooms double the price. Just great here we are expecting to get a good rest well I guessed wrong!! Management better train their people properly it’s not a joking matter Manager Joshua Hansoo Lee!! Thanks for ruining a birthday celebration

The hot tub was foamy, and the chemicals burned our eyes. I asked the front desk how often it was tested and cleaned and was told it was tested twice a day, but wasn't told when the last cleaning was or what the current Ph level was. The beds were not comfortable. The soap dispensers are attached to the wall pretty high up, so little kids can't reach them to wash their hand without help. The room only had a shower and no tub, so it was also not great for little kids. The room was also facing the highway, and it was very loud all night and in the morning. The breakfast was fair at best. My reservation was for 1 room, but when I arrived, it was made for 2 rooms, so i had to correct that. The front desk charged the wrong credit card as well. Overall, my view was that the staff were polite but not really helpful and didn't provide good service. I had to leave 2 days early and go to a different hotel. I am a lot happier at the Best Western Plus.

Clean room, nice service and professional staff.Not many good hotels in Windermere area but you need full serviced hotel, this is one of your best choice near by your home. Your guests need a room and you don't have enough spaces in your home or privacy issue. You can use this hotel.

I love staying at this hotel. The rooms are large, modern & clean. There's a pool & fitness area. Complimentary breakfast included. The coffee and tea station is available at all times. The staff are very kind and friendly! Especially one of the housekeepers Jiwha she is very sweet, professional & always clean rooms to perfection. I always feel at home when I stay here.
