Decent selection of international foods. Always stocked up. Produce is not the best not the worst. Every naan bread product I've ever bought from this store has gone moldy way too quickly though, which is weird because other bread products don't have that issue. Their sourdough loaves are great too.

Nearly everything I regularly purchase has gone up $2-$4 dollars in the past couple months. I understand the ongoing inflation issues but somehow Walmart has kept the same prices so far. As of writing, the exact same grocery order at Walmart is $25 cheaper.

The workers here rock. Kind, quick to help. Is insane awesome nice people here wow.

If used to be very well organized, neat, clean and full of inventory, lately it has been waste of time & energy because international foods section is always empty and out of stock, you can't even find the grocery basics like eggs, butter, milk and nonetheless the smell like you're standing in poultry when you open the refrigerator.The only good part is their fresh vegetables.

Went in to see if they filled water cooler bottles. I asked two different employees one employee told me ask her, She knows everything and pointed to nothing. I asked another one and with a super rude tone just said go to customer service. The water cooler is not behind the service desk. You got two employees who literally know nothing and decided to be extremely rude. I was polite and everything. I just asked if they still have the water cooler and they couldn't even give me a yes or no answer to a yes or no question. I'm not coming back here ever again. Absolutely pathetic not worth my PC points.

Nothing wrong with the store as it is a grocery store that sells food. my issue is as follows,Cashier was rude to me and the person in front of me. I have nine items that once were rung through on belt I started to bag. She told me I can advance the belt. I told her it is fine where it is and I can easily reach it. She did not say anything else but reached down to push a button that advanced it and stared at me the whole time. This of course caused the two loafs of bread she rang through first to be squished.She also mentioned twice in an annoyed tone of voice that she should be on her break. To be blunt staffing issues and break schedules are not my concern as a customer.So I figure for the first time I would go to the website listed on that small 'How did we do?' card they give with your receipt to keep this none public but that lead to the second issue. After you fill out your information and before you can proceed there is a Yes/No check box about wanting to receive emails about specials, sales, etc. from them and select third party companies. I clicked no as I do not want to get 'spam emails'. Downside of this is, as I discovered, is by selecting No it gives you a message that you have selected no to complete the survey.Actually I wanted to do the survey but just did not want promotional emails from you, other companies you own or companies that have paid you a fee. Sure I could have said yes and then spend the next couple of months manual getting off all the list this would have added me to but once again this is not something I should have to spend my time on as a customer.

Over all I have had good experiences shopping at this location. While it can be hard to find some items, I have found their employees polite and helpful. They have most of their traditional check-out lanes open, which is helpful for seniors and people with disabilities who struggle to use self check-out. On average, I have also found their prices to be lower than the other grocery stores in Courtenay, so this is my go to store, especially the prices of the PC or no name products.

It's a superstore. Sometimes you find good deals. Othertimes what you're looking for is sold out and you have to go with the name brand and pay out the wazoo. There's give and take. The parking lot sucks to get out of.

I was in your store on Thursday March 2 and had occasion to deal with two delightful young men. One was busy bringing carts in and the other was on checkout #2 . Both were courteous, helpful and pleasant. The cashier went out of his way to help me with lifting several items and picked up my walking stick so quickly , he was like “ the flash”! I left for home feeling uplifted and pleased to have this store so well run.
