Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Guelph

Absolutely horrible hotel in the suburbs with nothing close by. During our 3 day stay the room didn't get cleaned once despite multiple requests. The bed was uncomfortable and noisy and the toilet leaked! The breakfast, especially coffee, was terrible. The entire hotel also smells of moisture. Definitely not worth the premium prices they charge!

They were absolutely amazing and accommodating! We had arrived before our check in time and they let us in absolutely no problem. The staff were very friendly and informative, even gave us a couple great recommendations on some dinner places, shout out to Romero’s Restaurant.Beautiful city and great hotel, would absolutely rebook.

3 night stay- multiple requests for room service. Rooms weren’t cleaned and garbage piles up. There was a dog in the room next to us that was barking all morning as well.

Our room was not cleaned properly. There was an old razor left in the shower, spots on the mirrors and a used tea bag in the coffee maker. We asked for house keeping to come and clean the items and we were told there were no housekeepers at the hotel and that they are short staffed. Don’t stay here, not worth it!

Firstly. The wifi would not connect. After trying to reach guest services they had no idea to fix the issue.Second, the morning of checkout my daughter and I went to use the pool. The washroom closest to the pool had NOT been cleaned with a clogged toilet.During this time, the front host was checking the pool chemicals.I made a note but I don't think they heard me.Upon arrival back to our room, we were going to bathe . Once my daughter got into the shower, I realized there was NO shampoo OR conditioner!!!!I called the front desk for 27 minutes, both from my room phone , and my mobile phone.At 10 to 12 ( first before checkout) they answer. They said they could send someone up.I asked if we could have check out at 1, so we were able to dress and dry our hair appropriately.They said no.I was frustrated. Not only of that, but the shower head was spilling water everywhere.We only had 2 towels.And there were skittles under one of the beds, bed skirts.On the outside, I couldn't understand it being a 2 star rating.Once inside I realized quite quickly.

Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Easy parking.Decent breakfast. Kids love the pool and waterslide. We stayed here for a tournament in a small town about an hour away and was well worth it: staff were very accommodating and we rented the conference room too and the kids had a great time playing games and having a group dinner there too. Definitely recommend this place.

The tacky plastic flowers in the pot outside placed all crooked should have been our first clue that things would not be as usual for a Marriott. We booked a suite for 3 days because we needed the space only to find the room a lot smaller then it appears on line and we had the view of a brick wall. We never saw house keeping the whole 3 days we were there plus we had only a pillow with no case and one blanket for the pullout. The staff was very friendly and accommodating but we had to run downstairs to get bedding only to be told they did not have any pillow cases. On day two when room service was a no show" we inquired again downstairs only to find out they only had one cleaning lady for the whole place. Wow! After our inquire

My Wife and I have been running back and forth between Guelph and our home town to deal with a family medical emergency for over 3 weeks now.Debbie at the front desk has done everything she to help make our stay as comfortable as possible. We can not thank her enough for the little things like helping us print something and bringing up extra towels to our room while we were back and forth at the hospital. Mostly just showing us so much compassion at such a difficult time.If we are ever headed back to Guelph there is no other place we would stay.Thank you again Debbie! Well I booked through Expedia and it didn't mention after booking with my credit card ID have to then pay a deposit on top of 400$.We traveled 4 hours for the hotel with the slide just to be told they can't run it because they don't got a life guard. Was a VERY SMALL pool and full quickly. The owner was handing keys to the rooms to children assuming his own. As the way they were talking.. it wasn't a very nice stay at all
