First negative review I've ever written but trying to save anyone else from ordering their falafel! Absolutely the worst falafel pita imaginable. Cold and crumbly and dry and the only sauce was in the last two bites even though I asked for tzatziki and tahini. Wish I could give it zero stars!!!

I order from this place on DoorDash every now and then. I always get either a beef poutine or a chicken poutine. Their food is good and the meat is always super tasty - good big portions too.The problem:If I don't order (and pay for) extra sauce, they don't include any sauce at all (which is a listed ingredient). Last time I ordered a beef poutine with extra sauce and received a poutine with extra sauce, with no beef.Today I ordered a chicken poutine and it arrived without chicken. Please make it make sense.The food is good so I keep taking the chance and ordering delivery but the staff need to work on order accuracy. It's not a one-off - it's happened several times.

When I was busy near Davie Street and it was time for a dinner, I had appetite for something like a donair. Since I wanted to try a new restaurant I went to the “Donair Dude”. I ordered a regular Chicken Pita with feta cheese. Since I was open to try something different and the very friendly server recommended a special dressing that was obviously influence by the Asian culture of the owner or servers, I took that sauce. It was pretty good – different but tasty. I also like the fact that the filled the meat and veggies into a double pita bread pocket and toasted it afterwards.I do not recommend eating a falafel pita: The falafel was just heated in the microwave. The taste suffered from it significantly. Additionally, the pita was just grilled once instead of twice which let the inner parts cold.However, I still that I can recommend this place since it is still one of the best donair places I have visited in the Greater Vancouver Area.3.5 out of 5

We walked past and my kid said I need gyro meat. We ended up getting Greek fries, gyro poutine, and a side of gyro lamb. Excellent customer service. So friendly and fast. I didn't get pictures because it got inhaled.

This place used to be the best donair in downtown Van, but after the pandemic hit it went downhill. Price increase is a given, but the quality is so bad. I don’t mind spending the money, as long as what I’m getting at least tastes good. They no longer give you lettuce, there’s cabbage instead, veggies aren’t fresh, the food isn’t hot… save yourself and go somewhere else. Not worth it. After being a customer for more than 5 years, I will NOT be returning. Also, very unhygienic.

Tried Donair Dude for the first time this past weekend. It was ok in my opinion. Not the best and not the worst I’ve had. I do like that they don’t have a complicated menu. It’s simple and to the point. We ordered to go. Our food was packaged very nicely, and I didn’t have to worry about food getting all over the place! I ordered the falafel rice platter, and my husband ordered the chicken + lamb. They have a very nice selection of various sauces which of the 3 I tried were pretty good.1. Falafel platter- Overall the platter was decent. It comes with 2 scoops of white rice, 5 pieces of falafel, a side salad, pita bread, and either hummus or spicy tomato spread or 50/50. I added 3 sauces to my order, donair sauce, garlic sauce, and cilantro paprika sauce. I though it was pretty good while sauced up. The hummus I wasn’t fond of, the spicy spread wasn’t spicy IMO. The salad was good.2. Chicken+lamb platter- this was better than the falafel platter IMO. I didn’t taste the lamb, but the chicken was good. It was flavored nicely. My husband essentially got the same toppings as me but added different sauces.3. Baklava- this was good! If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you’ll enjoy this. Again, not the best I’ve had but pretty good.

Great service and the food is delicious. To my taste, a little less salt on the meat would be perfect but it was just delicious anyway. The poutine donair is just delicious and the portion serves 2 (ask for extra meat though). Very well located and the prices are fair.

Awesome! Place on David to grab a quick dinner. This looks like it's a franchised outlet since it is very organized and you have a good system in place. Happy staff also makes the experience enjoyable.My favorite way of approaching the building of your wrap is just tell them to add all the toppings except for the pineapple.
