Warning: CASH or TRAVELLERS CHEQUE ONLY. Small commuter ferry. They will only take up to 20 vechiles or less depending on vechile length so arrive early. If you are heading up north island, this is a perfect route to cut through traffic of Victoria. In the peak season; the summer road congestion and on-going road construction, expect to save 1,5 hours of travel time by taking the ferry.Quaint ferry ride that is25 minutes long and spectacular views of water and land.

We frequently use this ferry route and each time we are amazed by how lovely the staff are. It always makes for a really nice ferry ride

Great way to save time and energy in traffic. You will not make it on the ferry unless you are in the 2 loading lanes for the ferry however.

It's a good way to avoid the Malahat especially when there is a traffic jam. The ferry takes about 19 vehicles but runs every hour. Make sure you get there early or you'll be waiting for the next ferry.

Runs on time. Staff always very efficient. Payment by credit card okay. Otherwise books of tickets from Thriftys Mill Bay or the Thriftys on Brentwood side. Staff off for lunch from 12 o'clock til 1pm. Ferry only takes 19 cars. Be there ahead of sailing time.

It’s a great way to get upisland from the peninsula. However, their car limit capacity seems to fluctuate at random. The sign says 19 cars but they only loaded 14 today leaving not full and a bunch cars behind. So if you’re on a timeline, arrive an hour before departure or drive around.

Ferry crew DO take Credit & Debit cards, cash and also pre paid tickets bought locally which cut the fare in half. Great stress free short cut. Arrive 20mins early or more. BC Ferry MV Klitsa is rated for 19-22 cars. Busy in the summer months, expect a sailing wait. There are coffee shops, ice cream and easy wondering while you wait.

Your standard small BCFerry terminal. No washrooms, but you can sneak into the Brentwood Bay hotel pub. This is a small capacity ferry, so plan ahead on busy times. Bicycles ride to the front of the line!

Small and quick ferry. On a stat holiday weekend there will be a long queue of cars waiting to get across because of the low capacity of the ferry. We took our bikes across and could easily get aboard through the foot passengers as soon as the first ferry turned up. The ferry attendant simply got us to tap for payment before we boarded.
