The people working there were very friendly and helpful. I learned a lot about native culture and history and I will come back to learn more.

You can drop by their permanent exhibition (turn left after entering the building) without reservation I think. A wonderful place to learn about the history of Kahnawake both past and present (the seaway, Oka crisis etc). Entry to the exhibition is free with voluntary donation. Exhibition is in English.

Nice, but small, museum. I learned much about the tribes and about people doing iron working. I especially liked their idea of not having all the men working on the same job site. I didn't know how to pronounce some of the names. The displays were impressive, especially the ones of the tribal council behind the glass wall. We will visit again the next time we're in Kahnawake.

Very warm welcome at Kanawake. Interesting to learn about Mohawk history, the Five Nations, and their struggle to preserve their own culture, governing structure and way of life.Montreal dwellers should be more aware that before the city even existed, other People's lived and gathered there. Basically, we're living in unceaded Mohawk territory.

It’s an honor and a privilege to have learned more about the Kanien’keháka culture and history. An immense thank you to Tom for his kindness and taking his time answering our questions.I recommend visiting if you want to pay your respects and learn about the history and the land of the people Montreal was built on.

A museum/center of the Mohawk culture at Kahnawake created with love. Small but very nice - and free. Bought a Mohawk language textbook there. Very nice people! Kahnawake is an interesting English and Mohawk speaking island surrounded by French speaking Québec.
