Horrible please do not recommend please do your research

I worked here right after graduating and did not know any better. It is ran as a business and profit is prioritized over caring for the youth. The pay was horrible, training was non-existent. They didn’t even actually interview me before hiring me.They lie to you when you’re hired and tell you that you will get a raise after you work a certain amount of hours. When the time comes to give raises or benefits, they make excuses.Nepotism runs rampent in the company and there were a lot of questionable things going on behind the scenes.My supervisor was very manipulative and intimidating and had no back ground in social services. When I submitted notice that I was leaving, he tried to gaslight me and told me I would come crawling back to them because I wasn’t good enough to work anywhere else (I was very over qualified to work here).A very toxic environment to work in. I feel horrible for the youth who are forced to live there.

I was in youth connections when I was 12 and exited the program at 18 years old. Currently 23 now. This is the worst place to get help from, instead of helping they make you more traumatized about your problems.

Worked there for almost 2 years and sage to say it is not worth your time. First off they only pay you minimum wage and expect you to work a crazy amount of hours. At one point when I worked there they made me work 14 days in a row as a part timer. Also when I did manage to get a promotion to supervisor I signed a contract saying work 40 hours well tell me why I was the only person in the company to work over 60-70 hours a week. When I brought this up to the managers they just said and I quote “take one for the team”. So if your a college student and you are going to be doing your coop do not do it at youth connections or even get a job there because they will treat you unfairly and make you burn out. Plus their are other agencies who pay way more than they do

i was a former resident from one of the house the place was a sick very sick environment i urge all parents to never send their kid or child to the one in st Catherine some staff have a very bad habits and some are very good but i have seen some horrible things happen to some kids and to this day still im am very scar by what i had to go through not all staff are bad but a lot are

Excellent place for the youth, well organized and companionate staffs, management is awesome, my appreciation to the Management teams Wyatt, Gary, Kim, Wendys. Thanks to all the staffs for your passionate care towards the youths and the children.

My experience living at youth connections was a very awesome experience and I had a awesome time with doing fun activities and getting to do stuff with the staff and house residents and most times when u are behaving and not getting into trouble u get to watch movies like get to do a movie night and other stuff if things are going good. With my experience I understand that when someone makes a mistake and if it is a bad thing u did just know that everyone cares for u and wants you to be successful and have the best life ever but when u make a mistake just to let you know that there are always consequences like u know but the reason why if you get in trouble just be honest and tell the truth and explain what you did wrong and why you did it if you do that it will make the problem better and staff just wants to help you get better and help u move on in the real world I believe that youth connections is a awesome place to be and there are the best staff and people to get help from like for me I graduated from youth connections and I am thankful and happy that all of the staff managers and everyone else helped me move on into the real world and this is a awesome place for new employees and new residents to get help and to have lots of fun
