Indian Point Provincial Park
the one time I visited this park, my dog and I both ended up covered in ticks. Out of all the places I have been I have never experienced a tick infestation quite like this. No faciliates, minimal trails, no public water access, will never go back.

Nice flat trail with varying stands of tree species. BEWARE that the publicly accessible area of the park is where Grandy Road ends and Indian Point Road begins, which is gravelled. There is a park sign on the south side and a small parking area on the north side for about 6 vehicles. This is best regarded as the only formal location for unfettered public access to the park. Indian Road extends farther west through the park grounds until there is a large bend in the road turning south flowing seamlessly" to the IPPOA cottages. If venturing

There’s a small parking spot just across from the park at the north end. The trail is just behind the sign. Once on it though it’s a wide, clean, easy trail.

My college goes there a lot for tree related studies. It's beautiful and well cared for, never seen any garbage!

My daughter and I loved riding our tandem bike through Indian Point Provincial Park. It doesn't have amenities, just a few simple paths through 950 hectares of forest, meadows, and wetlands. It has a few very small cleared areas along the shore, but not beaches or campsites. Wear boots, there is a lot of poison ivy.

Swimming in that lake was the most relaxing thing I did all summer. The water is beautiful and the various water birds we saw seemed to agree!

The trail wasn't very clear from where we entered. The lake front didn't have a lot of places where we could sit. But beautiful colors in the fall.

We went there thinking a park with beach however we could only see a forest with trees on both sides of the road & private properties. If you are going to ride a bicycle then I am sure that will be an amazing experience but if you are in a car then it's just a beautiful road sight with a small beach at the end. But honestly I loved the colorful trees on both sides of the road & then we went balsam lake and that was a happy ending.

This is a wilderness park so there are no amenities and the trails are not maintained. Manage your expectations. There is an old road that goes straight down the middle of the peninsula. It's wide and flat. The trails that go off this road can peter out so be forewarned. It's a very small park and not densely forested so with GPS you won't get lost but be prepared for a little wandering. And ticks but that's true everywhere these days.
