Cremation service

Gave a this rating as i didn't like how the person on the other end of the phone was with me....no compassion i felt when inquiring about something.

Le pire endroit les employés ne sont pas respectueux, manque d'information...ils m'ont pressé pour aller chercher le corps de mon père à l'hôpital, me disant que j'avais 48 heures pour le faire.....et c'est faux.Ils ne m'ont jamais informé des prix relié au transport de son corps, comme réponse ils me disent que tout à un prix...oui je veux bien mais j'aurais aimé qu'on m'informe avant...en tout cas viveT.Sansregret

Brenan's handled my Mom's arrangements when she was terminal. I don't know the specifics of how they communicated, but she laid out her wishes so my stepdad and I wouldn't have to worry once she passed. She told the gentleman she was working with that she specifically did not want an event or even an obituary. After she passed, we went in to the Paradise Row location to finalize the details of her cremation and he told us those were her wishes. I said something like, come on

Our family’s experience with Ethical Death Care was exceptional. All the members of the team that we dealt with were very professional, compassionate and helpful - Amy, Bill, Sandy, and Dillon. We were very grateful to Dillon for all of the assistance he provided with regards to explaining and completing all the documents and paperwork for the government. He was very diligent and carefully answered all of our questions. We also appreciated Dillon’s advice regarding the Free Press obituary and the beautiful photo tribute page that was created. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience and we would highly recommend Ethical Death Care.

Recently dealt with them for a family member. The service received was outstanding. The staff are very professional and made this undertaking quite effortless. Thank you Ashley, Colby and Jean for your services.

My parents lost their Chihuahua on Christmas Eve. I learned about this service through a family friend and was very surprised and relieved when Art took our call on Christmas Day and helped my parents with the cremation of their beloved Chiquita. Thank you for your compassionate service.I will mention while cost was not our deciding factor, the rates were so much more reasonable than what we were quoted from the vets.Thank you.

Laurie was compassionate and supportive, especially with a very young client. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly and gave my daughter the necessary time to make the best possible decisions about her father's funeral. She was thoughtful and inclusive with family members with exceptional needs. She coordinated with out of town relatives. She went way above and far beyond!

The service and staff are amazing. Our family felt extremely well taken care of by our Director Vanessa. She went above and beyond what we expected and we are so grateful for everything she did. All my family members involved couldn't say enough good things about how she dealt with all aspects of the process. Helen helped us so much with the passing of our dog. We don’t own a car and she picked up our beloved dog from the vet herself and helped us arrange a burial even though these services are not listed on her website. What I appreciate most is she did not even hesitate or falter to go out of her way to do this. Thank you Helen. You have helped countless people in the darkest of times. I pray you get repaid with an abundance of light, love and blessings for all the people and pets you have helped.

Fantastic! We couldn’t recommend Burton and Direct Cremation Services more highly. He was very accessible, compassionate, capable and appropriate. He made the whole process of losing our mother as smooth as it could be. We had issues with the newspaper publishing the obituary correctly and he went to bat (successfully) advocating for us to get it fixed quickly.He struck a perfect balance between being solemn when he needed to be, and having a light heart when it was appropriate as well. Im sure he hears this a lot - “hope I don’t have to see you again” but only because it’s never fun to lose a loved one. Next time we do lose a loved one in the Kingston area you can bet we’ll call him again. Highly Recommend! Thanks so much
