My 82 year old Dad and I had lunch today at this newly renovated location of Swiss Chalet. The renovation looks lovely however, a large center wall blocks the view into and from the restaurant. Therefore, we stood for a least 5 minutes before I walked into the restaurant to find someone to give us a table.I found a lone server looking after every table in the whole restaurant by herself. She ended up having to come to seat us. There were two other people behind us who gave up and left.That being said, the server named Chris was absolutely delightful! She apologized for the wait and was not only sincere and attentive but smiled through every interaction despite being run off her feet.There are a few new menu additions, I had roast beef with mashed potatoes and veggies. Dad had his regular ribs and fries and coleslaw followed by lemon meringue pie. The food was delicious and hot despite there only being one server.This location gets a good review because of our server Chris. She earned her 20% tip and carried the front of the restaurant admirably! To the owners; give this woman a raise and hire some more staff. Customers left because no one greeted and seated them...

We normally go to the Waterloo location. This location was excellent. Food and Service was great! We will come back on Mother’s Day. One suggestion is to add new items on the menu like kebabs.

They ran out of chicken so we had to wait 30 minutes but they made up for it with the excellent service from our waitress!

One of my favourite branches of Swiss chalet. The staffs are very friendly and excellent service. For the past few years my thanksgiving dinners are at this branch with family and have to say it’s never lost the charm.I have to shout out for the great service by one of their staff “Sophiya”.Always has this welcoming smile and renders excellent service no matter how crowded or busy the place is!

Absolutely horrible i had a gift card to use ,received for retirement had the receipt also. They could not get it to work. Took three moves from table to table before finally sitting us. Ordered 4 of us ordered soup was the special. Received after we finished our meal. No apologies..no compensation. Will never eat there again !!!!

Great service from our waitress, even though she was the only one working the whole restaurant that evening... It was cold by the window where we first sat and she promptly noticed and moved us to another booth.Food was delicious as usual from the chalet experience and the atmosphere was good.Washrooms could be cleaner if the restaurant was better staffed. Hence the 4 stars.

Ordered dinner from this location with delivery. We are located 5 minutes from this location, delivery was 35 minutes past the promise time. When the meals were opened the fries were soggy and the chicken was dry. I'm the past We have tries this location bit figured it may have changed while it was shut down. I have ordered from further locations with more fresh food and prompt delivery times. I will no longer order from here.

Had a terrible experience here. I'll just name the major points that were horrendous for any place that serves you food. Went here on mother's day with my partner, her mother and her aunt. They ordered a glass of wine each and I ordered a beer (in a can), when the drinks arrived, my glass had a piece of what looked like food in it and all of the wine glasses were dirty. We asked the waitress if we could please get some clean glasses and she apologized and took them back...new glasses arrive...still dirty. Mine had lipstick on the rim that was easily wiped off with my finger so I know it just wasn't washed correctly. I just drank out of the can instead so there was a workaround for me and the rest of the group just drank the wine in hopes the glasses just had water spots (we hope).Now the food arrives. We received some things we ordered, some things we didn't and other things didn't come until after mentioning it twice and still nothing until we already finished the rest of our meal and just wanted the bill. We spoke to the manager, not to get anything out of it or get anyone in trouble but we wanted to make sure that items we didn't get and didn't order weren't on our bill. I did mention to the manager about the dirty glasses and she asked what do you want me to do for you?". We didn't really want anything else as we were all over it at this point so we told her that we just want them to address the issues for other customers.The bill comes....we were told that they were giving us a 50% discount because of the trouble

Food is great. They really bounced back after covid. Service is always good, the servers are really sweet. Food comes out pretty quick. I always come back to this location. 4 stars only because when you walk in there is a big wall that blocks anyone from seeing you unless you peer around it or stand right next to the welcome desk. I've stood there for quite a while once before being noticed so that's a pretty annoying design flaw. Otherwise, everything else is great.
