Baker's Bungalows

I booked with Baker’s and had to cancel a week before going, due to medical reasons. They were extremely accommodating and honest with me about their policy’s as well as empathetic to my situation. They were able to sell off part of my reservation and refunded me for what they could. I am grateful for their service and look forward to booking a future reservation.

New ownership and recently renovated. I stayed for over a week in two separate cabins and really enjoyed all the changes made.These cabins are great for families or groups. They are clean and stocked with all the essentials to enjoy your time at the lake.They also have rentals for many of the activities you will want to do while in Waskesiu.The staff is very friendly and was always willing to help if we had questions.

The interior have been nicely renovated since I last visited. The knotty pine inside made the cabin look cozy and rustic. Though when we burned some bacon while cooking we noticed the smoke alarms clearly were not working. The one bedroom cabin is suppose to sleep at most 4 but yet had only 2 bowls.

Baker’s Bungalows is a fantastic place to enjoy your trip to Lake Waskesiu! We are looking forward to returning! The renovated interior is amazing. Our entire cabin was super clean, every corner dusted and spotless. I was particularly impressed with how every kitchen appliance and item was completely clean. It made our stay so comfortable! The one bedroom cabin had a bed and futon which were comfortable and able to sleep 4 people. The kitchen has a full fridge and stove and all the dishes and supplies you need to cook for 4 people. There is a full bathroom with a good shower. The cabin even has air conditioning and heat. We had everything we could possibly want. They are in process of renovating the cabin exteriors. It’s in the perfect location by the beach and the main town area is a short walk down the path. The staff are friendly and helpful and run an easily accessible towel exchange, open daily. The area was quiet and peaceful. I cannot say enough good things about our experience!

These cabins have been recently renovated and are lovely inside. The new(ish) owners are now working on renovating the outsides. The location is perfect - easy to walk into town or visit with family in the campgrounds. Beach is lovely. Cabins are adequately stocked. AC worked wonderfully, though we didn't need it at night as it cooled off. The onsite store is well stocked. The cabin was perfect for our needs and clean. The people were friendly and accommodating. It was quiet for sleeping; no traffic noise or partying while we were there. Maybe bring an outdoor table cloth for the picnic table on the deck. The grounds need some work as there are a lot of discarded machines and building materials around, but that may be partially because of the renovating. All in all, a near perfect spot and we hope to return soon!

I rented a studio for myself and my 2 dogs. The cabin was perfect! Everything from the flooring and walls to bathroom facilities and appliances were new(ish) and clean. The tiny cabin had everything I needed including a nice sized deck with a BBQ and furniture. I threw an old sheet over the bed and didn’t have to worry about bringing dirty pups back because everything was dog friendly and easy to clean. We were steps from the lake, the location couldn’t have been better. Check in and out was easy and service was fantastic. I can’t wait to go back!

Bakers is great .Cabins are clean and well maintained. They aren't fancy but have everything you need. Basic cutlery, pots & pans, a decent propane BBQ, and a deck, a TV with a few channels to watch if it's rainy.Maybe 100 meters from a nice sandy beach, close at hand some swings & stuff for kids. There's a store with basic groceries, coffee, and ice cream.Lots of squirrels to watch. Elk or deer often wander by the cabins.It's a 20 walk to the main beach / downtown " area with more stores

We will never book here again at this high priced establishment. Their website is outdated. We asked for wheelchair accessible rooms. We got a bungalow with 5 steps! The floors needed a wash in the whole house, according to the bottoms of my feet. The weekend staff graciously brought us a mop and pail. When my disabled sister asked for a wheelchair, she was told no, they didn't have any. The manager, who said he was there all weekend, was never seen until we left on Monday. My brother spent an hour on the phone with the front desk to be sure that the room would be suitable for my sister before our stay and front desk neglected to add it to the file. We were told the room had a lake view and it had a busy hiway view. The only bed was so squeaky we put the mattress on the floor. Other than that, the stay was great!

It has been a few years since I have stayed at Bakers Cabins at Waskesiu. The new owners this year ROCK! They are renovating the exterior of all the cabins and interior as well . Everything you need for a wonderful holiday is supplied from towels to sheets to plates and cutlery to coffee maker and bbq in deck with comfortable deck chairs. We had to leave a day early and owners found a person to take our last day of booking to help us out on our bill. They went above and beyond if you ask me! Looking so forward to coming back next year and enjoying their hospitality once again.Ps.
