Golden Rule Roofing

Brendan seemed great at first.... The crews never installed the vents for my bathroom and kitchen as per the work order, and despite me calling them several times, they havent fixed it. The facia boards weren't all replaced, and the ones that were were all cut funny, like they had never done it before. I also have several scraps of hanging plastic trapped under flashing. Looks terrible.I also had complaints from all of my neighbours about a profanity-laden screaming match between Brendan and his crew while on the job site. Not professional at all.Will be filing a complaint with the BBB.

Wow I'm not sure what these negative reviews are about. The Brendan I know goes above and beyond for his customers. I have had a roof done at my business 2 years ago, because I came in the morning and my roof was leaking all over my stock. I called Brenden up, and he was on the roof in about an hour, stopped the leak temporarily, and literally had my roof completely redone the NEXT day. I seriously couldn't have been happier with his speedy, and amazing service. Oh and I asked if I could get black flashing instead of the white stuff and it was no problem at all, he also didn't charge me anymore after changing my mind. In my opinion, they have the best customer service I have come across in the local roofing market. Nothing but a great experience. 5 stars all day long. I really doubt these other guys whom have written the bad reviews could produce an invoice to prove that they actually dealt with Brenden. I will be also using him to do my roof at home in the spring next year.

We called Brendan at Golden Rule after some contractors" disappeared with our roofing deposit and left us with a stack of subgrade roofing material to install. We did some checking around on BBB etc and decided to give the guys at Golden Rule a call and were immediately impressed with the highly professional approach taken by Brendan (owner). We explained our situation and he offered to come up to our place and inspect the house and go over our options in a few days. He came to inspect our roof with his partner (a building contractor) and the two of them spent about 2 hours carefully showing me where there were problems and outlining options. We have a relatively large house which has several skylights and both flat and steeply pitched roofs as well as a small detached garage/studio building. The guys put together an extremely detailed written quote and explained every option in detail so that I could make informed decisions for each part of the job. Once we agreed on the solution they were quick to swing into action with a great group of installers. The team was extremely detail oriented and we only used up a small part of the "contingency funds" I had set aside for a worst case scenario. This was a big job and Brendon had his eagle eyes on every stage of the job. I am happy to report that it was done on budget and looks great - it also hasn't leaked once since being completed. I highly recommend Brendan and the rest of the guys at Golden Rule - not only did they do a great job but they taught me a lot about roofing which was great. They also pointed out a few other repair jobs I need to do around the house and offered to connect me with reputable contractors once I was ready to do them. So if you're looking for a top quality job by guys from the area then I highly recommend Golden Rule - these guys are great and I have no hesitation in recommending them to friends/neighbours etc."

Brendan was great. When we found out we needed a whole new roof, he broke the news lightly and honestly. He explained exactly what the issues were and answered all our questions. He is Very informed and profesional. Also, got the job done quick and painlessley with his crew, at a rate that seemed fair. I would reccommend Golden Rule!

Although we were surprised at the total cost of our repairs, the photos convinced us that we had significant damage which has been corrected. I recommend them as they were quick to reply to our phone call and the work began within 24 hours. They cleaned up afterwards, removing all dropped nails and screws.

I just had my roof replaced, and I am very pleased with the service I received from both Brendan and Stephen's crews. They were polite and courteous, communicated with me effectively, and demonstrated a genuine concern for my home and my property. I think you will be hard pressed to find roofers who care more about doing good work, or who have a comparable level of attention to detail. Highly recommended.

Brendan and his team originally replaced our roof 10 years ago. (They did a great job then as well) We had a leak start and Brendan came very quickly. Although the leak had nothing to do with his work, he and his crew still took care of it. They are efficient, knowledgeable and treat their customers very well. I will always use this company for my roofing needs. The quality and value they put in to thier service cannot be beat!

We used Brendan for our previous house and for our new house purchase. Both were full roof replacement. We would absolutely use him again. Very personable, professional, and honest. His team did a great job. He is always available for any questions you may have. Thanks Brendan!

Of 5 or so local roofing companies, Brendan was the only one to call us back regarding a roof leak. We are so glad he did as we were thoroughly impressed with his professionalism and skill. He and his team did a great job fixing our roof (and matching the old shingles to the new). He kept in contact during some short delays due to weather, and was here on the first rain-free day. We are also happy that they try to be as eco-friendly as possible. We would definitely recommend Golden Rule Roofing!

Brendan spent most of the phone call telling me what a great roofer he is, and how his services are expensive but worth every penny. Then I waited a month for an estimate that never came. Don't waste your time with these guys.
