Butt Karahi

Went here with friends, made a reservation for a Wednesday night @730. Getting a reservation was more difficult than it needed to be as the insisted that we don’t need one. Good thing is got the reservation as it was busy when we arrived. We were a group of 9 people and seating is just round tables with chairs. The atmosphere is like a wedding hall, with about 20 tables. We had preordered the food for 745, we all arrived and seated by 730. Unfortunately the food didn’t come on time as requested, arriving at 815. We ordered the mutton Karhai, chicken Karhai, bbq platter and naans. The food was really good and we ended up ordering and chicken karhai so 2kg in total. Unfortunately this took an hour to make and bring out. The restaurant was no busy but there were a couple of large parties there.So the food being really good , the reason for the loss of stars is the lack of service and attention. We had to go to the server to get any plates and glasses. They were very hesitant to provide those even for the number of people at the table. We had to convince hard to get people a plate and a glass. Sadly this on top of the speed of food service earned them a below deserved score. If they could improve there I would def score them higher.

The service was great. Some of the food items had too much salt in them. I would recommend to try out their Karachi and Butter Chicken as both of them were wonderful! The butter chicken had a small portion in my opinion. The rest of the good was great!

Food is good, but anyone intended to dine here should be cautious.They added 10% service fee in the bill, and they would not tell you or show you the bill when you are paying. When you are paying with the machine, you will still find the tip option.Eventually, you may end with 10% extra tip spending.I don't mind to give decent tips, but I don't like to be fooled around.Again, food is good. Just ask for bill and read it carefully before you tap your card.

I'd seen this person digging through garbage the past 2 days at the hotel attached to the building. I'm very concerned about hygiene as my entire group had seen staff with aprons on & kitchen gloves while outside touching garbage & taking smoke breaks. I'm sure it's a good establishment but if you feel sick after, these reasons might be why; i'm sorry. Please refresh the team on food safety & clean habits. Aprons should not be worn outside while taking out garbage, let alone inside the dumpster.

I only got a photo of the entrance because that’s where I returned from. The service is rather bad. There was no one at the entrance to greet customers. I had to look around myself to find a staff member, which is never a good sign in the hospitality industry. The place is built more like a Pakistani wedding hall rather than a restaurant, round tables all around and food dishes set up on a table in the centre, so it might be good for hosting weddings and other such events. The waitress informed us that they only had buffet so we couldn’t order separate dishes. It was $30 a person which seemed rather excessive looking at the limited amount of dishes that were there.

Food is excellent, but the lower rating is due to lack of good service. They are not rude, but lack of insight to check on tables, common things like plates, glasses, water, drinks we had to ask for. The naan and karahis are delicious and the restaurant is neat and clean. If the service picked up, I would not hesitate to give it 5 stars.

I recently dined at this establishment during my travel from Edmonton to Calgary, and I must say, the food was exceptional! The taste was absolutely delicious and authentically prepared.While the current seating arrangement is in a banquet hall, I appreciate that the owner is actively working on creating a separate seating area specifically for regular customers, apart from the banquet setting. This initiative shows their commitment to enhancing the overall experience.Despite the seating situation, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and the wonderful flavors. I look forward to returning on my next trip and witnessing the improvements firsthand.
