Comfort Inn & Suites Barrie

I came to give a good review after my stay here on February 27th 2023 and I’ve read through countless terrible reviews of this place. Well I’m here to say I enjoyed my stay! My room was clean. Everything in the room was obviously recently renovated and brand new.Through out the rest of the hotel you couldtell they were finishing up renovations on other rooms. But was no inconvenience to me and my wife. Breakfast in the morning was alright. Bacon, eggs and potatoes. I also made my self a delicious waffle with the waffle maker.I’ve read the numerous poor reviews for this place, but I have to say there trying to turn things around. It was good, especially for the price. $111 well spent.

Rooms newly renovated. Renovations however recent, clean up could of been better. Staff made it worth while. Very friendly accommodating and helpful. Our furnace/air conditioning malfunctioned and maintenance switched it out with a brand new unit within an hour.

Stayed in room 222, there was blood splatters on the curtains as well as holes, the bed sheets had stains on them as well. Then got moved to room 230, in the bathroom it looked like someone had took a lighter to the sick and shower faucets. The air conditioner also left a huge wet puddle on the carpet. The doors were damaged as well and had holes straight thru the bottom corners. There was a strong funky smell throughout the entire building, no elevators so it was not disability friendly what so ever.
