Look no further, you've found one of the best pubs in St. John's! Never mind the fabulous LIVE MUSIC every night with no cover, or the MOST BEERS ON TAP in the entire province or the wicked deck, just try to find a more friendly, welcoming staff and owners who don't hesitate to go out of their way to ensure their patrons have a ton of fun! These guys are creating a community of loyal customers and I am lucky to count myself as one. Since Niall, Brendan and Nick took over ownership it's become my go-to at any time of day or any day of the week because I'm assured an excellent experience every time. Oh, they also have deadly food - it's not fancy, its' just delicious, hearty, homemade and good value - once again, ticking all the boxes! I bring a lot of tourists here every summer on live music tours and it's hands down their favorite venue. Many of them become repeat customers while visiting St. john's and they all comment on the great time they had at The Embassy. Their drink specials are curated with care and consideration and I have to say every single one I've tried was delicious! Ask for a Lar's White Rusiian! I've heard it said more than once that the place feels like home, even the first time you go, so do yourself a favour and check out this gem of a bar. The music, people, atmosphere, food and drink will quite possibly turn you into a regular too!

Had their oh so yummy eggs benny! I personally love eggs benny and find it hard to get a bad plate. This place was had good eggs benny!!!

Discovered this gem of a pub after an afternoon of shopping on Water St. This pub is one, if not the nicest pub I’ve ever been to. The staff is very friendly and welcoming! Great selection of drinks and fabulous atmosphere. And Lars custard cone, wow! I will definitely go back to this pub on my next trip to St. John’s. Love it!

Found this gem while visiting and wandering St. John’s, and now I’m sad that I live on the other side of the country. It was cozy and friendly, and we immediately felt at home. And Niall was happy to write down some other must-see places so we didn’t miss out on the full east coast experience. We went back the next day and had the best plate of nachos that I may have ever eaten. Thanks Niall!!

I went on a very chilly day and ordered a pint of draft beer with the turkey in gravy and it was PERFECT. It was really good and satisfying. I went a bit early during the afternoon so I missed the live music but I'm sure it's awesome! I'll go back again for sure.

We were in St. John’s for a conference this weekend and looking for dinner and a pint. After a long walk, we popped into this pub, figuring it would do.I’m so glad we did!The staff were incredibly friendly (shout-out to the barman, Nick!) and allowed us to sample a couple types of local craft brews so we could narrow our choices.Food was simple but exceptional (French onion soup was excellent) and the vibe was friendly and warm, right down to the choice playlist.We didn’t sample the cocktails but they also looked fantastic.10/10 recommend this gem.
