If the Train Exchange gets a review less than 5 stars, ignore it. We stopped in today for the first time and Grant took a lot of time with my son to explain what he needed and helped him get the right things. This is the kind of business we like to support. With regard to trains, there is lots and lots of new and 2nd hand rolling stock, engines, scenery, track, etc. If you enjoy this hobby, don't go anywhere else until you check out his store.

Finally, a train store in Edmonton after the mass exodus a decade ago. The owner is friendly, knowledgeable, and doesn't employ high pressure sales tactics. A pleasure to visit!

I'm from Ontario, visiting my son's family as they are expecting their first son - my first grandchild/grandson. While the store is relatively new and only open on the weekends (for the time being) I found the owner and his patrons to be of exceptional and engaging quality. This guy has the drive to make this a mecca for rail hobbyists and I truly hope he prospers. I left with a consigned 0-6-0t engine ( which performs magnificently), 3 Hard to find Tichy Train kits, and Athearn gondola and a structure kit. I will return this coming weekend and who knows :). Good selection of consignment, new and hard to find older stock. A hearty two thumbs up!

Had a great visit to The Train Exchange yesterday and picked up a locomotive, rolling stock, and some buildings. Being new to model trains, Grant was really helpful in answering all my questions. Prices were great and there was good selection too. Definitely worth checking out!

A very pleasant store with a varied selection of equipment for covering all eras and scales.If you need it,chances are hes got it.Canadian Roads a specialty,hard to find pieces,and an amazing collection of used and out of production pieces.I'll be back and recommended this shop. The owner is a very friendly chap and knows his stock.

The owner was super helpful, I am very, very new to the hobby, and he was nothing but knowledgeable and keen to see me get the most out of it. Good selection of supplies and stock, new and used. Well worth a visit. Will be back again I'm sure.
