I had an issue with a lost key. Sal and his team were able to help me . Great friendly service. I had to use Sal service a few times and I am always satisfied.

5.0 star rating8/22/2018Salvatore came by about an hour after I called to report that the lock on my front door was in pieces. (It seems that my attempts to repair it myself had not gone very well...) Anyway, he put it all back together, showed me what he was doing as he did it, charged me virtually nothing, shook my hand, and said to give him a call if I had any further problems. Pretty much the perfect interaction with a quality trades-person – Personable, prompt, courteous and fair.

Unreilable and unprofessional. There is neither personal integrity on the part of the locksmith nor concern for the reputation of their establishment. Sal gave me an appointment for a date and time, at his convenience between 12-1 pm on July 7th which was 3 days after the day of my request.I called McWhinnie's on the morning of the date to verify that the appointment was stll on on for the designated time and Sal told me that he (suddenly??) had someone coming to his house at 11:30 pm for some work to be done but that he would call me after that to give me an estimate of his revised arrival time. He never did call & never showed up, and made no effort to reschedule. There was no apology for his lack of caring and unprofessionalism. This inexcusable behaviour- making a client wait for 3 days and then not even bothering to show up or reschedule is offensive.

These guys are the best locksmiths in town! They were courteous, prompt, and knowledgeable. I was locked out of my apartment with no wallet and no phone and quite worried about what to do. They arrived with next to no wait time and were understanding when I missed them because I was on my way back from a public phone. They came back and let me in without any damages to my door or my lock. They were quiet and polite and they didn't take advantage of the situation I was in. I cannot stress the quality of this service enough!

We had a recurring problem with our front lock that was not fully resolved in the past. We called Sal who came in and finally repaired our lock at a minimal cost, which saved us a lot of time and money. Thank you Sal! We definitely recommend them if you want a professional service with someone who knows what he's doing!

Absolute disaster. Unprofessional. Had an appointment for the 20th of April. Called him the day before to confirm. Never got a response. Called the morning of and no answer. Went on the premises in case he showed up. Did not. Called me at 4pm to see who I was. Explained who I was. he apologized and rescheduled me for this morning the 3rd of May. Called again yesterday to confirm... no response. He did not show up or call to cancel. Won't be doing any business with him that's for sure. No respect for the client.

As a store owner, security ranks high on my list of concerns. After getting screwed by my neighborhood locksmith (borrowed an item and refused to return it or pay for it) and understandably fearing my keys might have been compromised (he once cut me a pair of replacement keys and could've secretly kept a spare), I resolved to change my locks.A colleague suggested I go for the Medeco brand, which while much more expensive is also much more secure.After I called in, the owner came to see me and he gave me a free estimate. After shopping around some more, I found that he had the best deal and gave him the okay.While I wanted to change both the inner and outer locks, he rightfully pointed out that changing only the outer lock was unnecessary in my case. I could still keep my inner lock without risk. A true professional, he doesn't sell people stuff they don't need.Definitely going to recommend him.

We needed to quickly change two locks and Sal was available, despite it being the weekend. He provided us with fast, very courteous service, and professional, no-nonsense advice. His prices are fair and his customer service is impeccable. I highly recommend McWhinnie's services. Wish I had more locks to change!

Impeccable service. I called Sal on a Friday afternoon for a last minute job the next day and he managed to come by for 10am on a Saturday. Arrived on time and the job took no more than 10 minutes.Very friendly and professional service! I will definitely be coming back to Sal for future services as well as referring him to family/friends.

Unfortunately, I have been trying to do business with this gentleman, Mr. Salvador, for a month now. February 8 to be exact now it’s April 20th. Reason why I have been in business with him for so long was because he has been going through some personal issues. What I ask is to have my lock changed for my front door for a residential apartment building. However, it’s been roughly 3 weeks since I have asked for an estimate and called him twice and had been reassured that he would give me an estimate within 24-48 hours each time. Regarding his personal issues, it should not take 3 weeks for an estimate. And I don’t think calling him more about the estimate would be very beneficial.
